Stopping here was great. They were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the items I was interested in. They explained the significance of the items. Best of all these items were made by local tribal artists. They had a lot of cool stuff. The store owner was having fun and pulled out this awesome piece and attached WW1 bayonet knife to it. As you can see in the pics attached. They were a fun couple of guys. Check them out when you get a chance.

This spot is incredible, the gentleman we spoke to was extremely knowledgeable and our interest in his beautiful culture was accepted with open arms, we enjoyed hearing the meanings behind each piece in the shop and ended up buying so many incredible items. A true gem on your way through Arizona. A must see shop with local handmade pieces of art, jewelery and beautiful home pieces. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to speak with this man and hear his local stories and experiences of nature. Very reasonable prices for authentic, quality goods. A MUST SEE.

CHIEF YELLOWHORSE TRADING POST
Lupton, Arizona
August 23, 1993 - Driving my 1959 Cadillac from California on Route 66, this brightly painted roadside establishment screamed at me to stop and take a look inside. The location was breathtaking and the merchandise was lovely and authentic. Highly recommended.

Lovely spot to take a break from the road and to check out authentic Navajo jewelry and other items. The owners were friendly and asked questions about our family and home. Also, some cool red cliffs over the shops that are very camera-worthy. My daughters both purchased a couple of jewelry items and love them!

This is a neat stop just as you get into Arizona. Right next door rest area.
The shops are family ran and had some neat little items. Even if it's nothing but a leg stretch, it's a good stop. And oh Lord don't buy a bag of bison jerky and just buy one. We had to go back in and buy another one before we left the parking lot ?

The Yellowhorse Trading post and it’s neighbors, The Best Navajo and Zuni Jewelry store, and another connected shop are owned by the same family. The stores are clean, lots of goodies and friendly shop keepers. Brians shop, the small one that doesn’t have a sign, has several types of jerky, antiques, lots of vintage license plates, handmade jewelry and more! Besides the beautiful copper bracelet he handmade, he showed me some silver rings his 12 year old son made - impressive!
