Well kept store with a variety of items. I spoke to the young man stocking the book section and he asked my opinion on what type of books he should be putting out from their large stock in the back. Super friendly and would definitely go back if I’m in the area.

Great quality items. Clean. Doesn’t smell like most thrift stores. The associates are very nice and helpful. We bought several fragile items and they wrapped and packaged them for us. Jacob B. Was terrific. He personally wrapped all our dishes and packed them in boxes for us. He was a pleasure to deal with.
Overall it was a great experience and we will be back. We live I Walker County and will make the drive often to restock our small business.

On a recent road trip out of Birmingham, fate (aka, a cacophonous chorus from the back and side seats) led us to make a spontaneous U-turn that brought us directly to what turned out to be both a splendid opportunity and a hilarious misadventure.

The shopping experience turned out to be quite the expedition. We arrived looking for nothing in particular but left with several ‘essential non-essentials’.

Financially, it felt like hitting the jackpot—I saved a bundle on items that would have cost a small fortune elsewhere. However, in true thrift store fashion, I also made a 'donation' in exchange for these goods, a charming twist on the traditional shopping spree. Buying goods helps give clean drinking water to many places around the world.

So, if you ever find yourself in or out of Birmingham, consider making your own U-turn into Vapor Ministries. Whether by chance or choice, it’s a pit stop that promises—and delivers—a little bit of everything.

If I could give them ZERO stars I would. Extremely over priced. Old shirts with holes in them for $10. Dirty/extremely worn Nike shoes for $30. Anything that’s a somewhat decent Brand is up charged high. Selling broken electronics that say “Tested works” is not a good business practice. I don’t think they actually check to see if ANY of the electronics work. Also, the teenagers working the counter were extremely rude and inattentive. No greeting when walking in the door, no help whatsoever. Basically rushed me out of the store when checking me out so they could sit back down behind the counter and play on their phones. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!

Jennifer the store manager and Taylor the cashier were very very rude. I am a frequent shopper here at this location and love the friendly faces. I pulled a bottom ticket off of the outdoor table, took it up to the register to pay for the item and I noticed that Jennifer had just walked from the area where the patio table sat. She was on the phone with someone and I guess they were trying to describe the table. So it looks like a customer was making a purchase over the phone. I had the bottom part of the ticket in my hand waiting to pay for item. Jennifer still had the phone in her hand on the phone with the customer during our entire conversation. I was informed that the sold was sold 20 minutes ago but I had been looking around for at least 20 minutes. Several people looked at table and the tag was still in place. I was told by Taylor that someone must have torn the entire tag off table which was not the case when I sent my friend a picture of the table. Jennifer and Taylor just caused Vapor to loose a loyal customer. I will definitely spread the word on Facebook about my experience. Vapor is labeled as a Christian establishment but these two works need a refresher on Christianity, customer service and integrity!

I was all hyped up about going here because it is always packed and there were a lot of good reviews. I was disappointed in the selection. The best options are right when you walk in and there wasn’t one thing besides a pair of shoes I would have considered buying. This is not a consignment type of store. I was only there for about ten minutes but I didn’t find any designer items besides really really used LV sandals.

Used to love this store but lately it's just to expensive. Had a Brooks Brothers Button down from a decade ago for $25. Those are $35 at the Brooks Brothers store in Leeds! Just one big price gouge. You got the items for free. Quit gouging everyone. No excuse for any piece of clothing being more than $10.
