I had a great time exploring the lake and the dam with my dog. And it was very quiet and peaceful, a perfect spot to cook breakfast by the lake.

Coming from I-40W it’s a fair piece from the highway on a two-lane road. Speed limit is 55 but because it’s out in the country with nearly no one around, people will fly by going 75+. Small town near the park with gas and grocery. The park is clean and easy to navigate for the most part. We reserved the spot directly next to the restrooms but arrived to find they were out of order, without any notice on the website, so we had to walk to the one on other side of campground which was difficult to locate in the dark. Despite the reservation website showing nearly all of the campsites were unavailable, there were only a few other campers there and we had a nice view of the lake and sunset.

If your bringing your RV to stay, great place, very beautiful, great fishing, lots of bugs. Lots of very large shaded lots, good trash disposal, none of the sites have sewer, but dumping station is very close. I will be back for sure. Good state park. Plug in Andy's Grill for correct instructions to the camping sites. The park entrance is right across the street.

It's been a while since I was here. Nice lake. It was kinda windy, but that's to be expected in a flat lands area. It wasn't too busy, which i liked ALOT. There was no pressure or rush in launching and loading my boat. There were restrooms in the RV park we stayed at. It was decent. They cleaned it every day.

Excellent affordable prices! We stayed overnight mid-october, first come, first serve this time of year. Power and water at site. Power tower looked good. Water was convenient.

Flies are no joke! Once the wind dies down and the sun comes up, they are mental. I can't imagine staying for more then a day. We brought 100 with us to Kansas!

The shower house is very nice, but could be warmer.... water and air (but I've been in Arizona for 2 years πŸ˜†) Very clean!

We liked the water and electricity and the long sites, but finding out the bathrooms in the Yucca campground were closed was not ideal. The open bathrooms were about 1/2 mile away, so a mile hike round trip. The showers are hot, but you have to keep pushing the button and the temperature can not be adjusted. The bathroom lights also do not stay on so plan on a dark shower.

Beautiful lake! Family friendly. We stay here a few times a year. A lot of memories here.

Only issue is, there is a new rule, everyone on a floaty has to wear a life jacket, which defeats the purpose of floating freely at the lake and relaxing. Restrooms could also be cleaned more often.

Not much available but if you love peace and quiet this is the place. We had almost the entire campsite to ourselves. There was a bathroom close to our site but the showers weren't all that fantastic. The water only stayed on in about 15 second intervals and it was cold. Luckily, we had a shower in our camper.
