The amount of times this "mall" had been transmogrified is astounding. I would say that in the early 80s, this place used to be far more family friendly. There was a beautiful merry-go-round ages ago that kids today will never experience, a theater where I got to see Star Wars during X-mas where they handed out figures, a small but delicious food court next to the theater, some rides (which you rarely see in malls), a little bookstore, the K-mart, the little cookie shop, etc. It's all gone.

The bulk of what replaced the mall these days is the UFC gym, which is pretty good last time I tried it, but this whole zone has no distinct characteristics compared to the version from the early 80s except for that gym. Even the old Sam Ash was a good addition here until it moved for one reason or another. Maybe the Spectrum store here since it's hard to find one closer to me? But hardly a reason to come here when the food mostly is unremarkable and most of the stores are bland, oversized and not worth the effort to park.

You can find most of the retail stores and restaurants here such as Ross, Marshalls, Burlington, in-n-out burger, Jolibee, Walmart, Trader Joe etc.

The Cashier Stephanie R. at Trader Joe's in the Torrance Promenade was very helpful and efficient in ringing up my groceries in a timely manner: also Travis was very helpful and efficient in putting my cases of water and the other groceries inside the car.

Excellent places to shop!!! But we bought from Bob's furniture and loved the staff!!! So much to look at and purchase from. Great establishment!! Great assistance each time we go.

This shopping center has something for everyone and then some. You can get household goods, baby goods, party goods, clothing, yard/garden supplies and groceries. After all that you can get yourself something to eat and then go work out. If you don't love driving all over come here.
