My mom received an assortment of chocolates (5 boxes) for her 90th birthday from Third Avenue and they were fantastic. The chocolate used was top notch. I am a dark chocolate lover and they were fantastic but even the milk chocolate was chocolaty and smooth. I would highly recommend the peanut butter cups, the chocolate pretzels and the turtles but to be honest, you can't go wrong with anything you select. The fruit slices are terrific as well. Thank you for putting quality first.

We were given a selection of the goodies from this shop and each one was better than the last! I especially enjoyed the dark chocolate salted caramel.... So delicious! I can't wait to go visit the shop in person!

We purchased small boxes of chocolates to give as party favors for the baby shower we hosted for our son and daughter-in-law. We could not be happier with the service, quality of the chocolates, and the lovely presentation from Third Avenue Chocolates. The owner Joyce was so friendly and helpful, from choosing the chocolates to the final wrapping paper choice. The guests raved about how fresh and delicious the chocolates were. A sweet experience from start to finish!

We love this shop! Joyce is a wonderful candy maker, and she produces some great treats. Besides handmade chocolates, they also have "old fashioned" candy for kids, so the locals often stop in after school. This shop is busy around holidays, and with good reason. But you can order ahead, which helps. We hope this wonderful shop is around for another 20 years!

Always always always a great place for real chocolates! It is always fresh and delicious. I always get chocolate Easter bunnies from here too. Everyone there is always super kind and helpful as well.

Visited Third Ave Chocolate Shop today with my 2 year old and infant to get ice cream for my toddler as a treat. Inside, there is no line to queue up in but we were the only other customer in there besides the person that was being helped, so it didn't seem like it would be a problem. My son was also repeating "chocolate ice cream!" excitedly and we were navigating the tight store with a double stroller, so we were pretty hard to miss.

Once the first customer was finished, however, they skipped right over us and helped someone who had come in while we waited. Annoying, but I was willing to chalk that up to a mistake. Then the next opportunity to be helped arrived and they skipped us AGAIN in favor of another person who had arrived. At that time, I said aloud "we have been waiting longer than everyone here and have not been helped", to which neither employee even looked up. I know I was loud enough to be heard because one of the customers they helped before us looked at me awkwardly. At that time, had they offered any sort of apology or even acknowledgement, perhaps we would have stayed but they opted for the zero customer service route. We left and went to Hoffmans.

If you aren't going to have a line, it seems to me you are taking on the responsibility of keeping track of your customers by some method. If you can't do that effectively, expect people to be upset and maybe just say sorry?

Absolutely the best handmade chocolate shop in the area! We've gone to them for many years, and love The Candyman's offerings. His chocolate specialties are lovely and creamy, and they have a few commercial candy offerings as well. There are also some nice gifts available. The shop itself is cozy and well-designed, and kids love to check it out. We're lifelong fans and will definitely be back!
