The Theory outlet store in San Francisco Premium Outlets is one of the stores I like to shop in. The store is well organized, and the salespersons are helpful and professional. The clothing is of good quality and reasonably priced. Sometimes, there is a line in front of the door, but it moves very quickly.

My experience here was very unacceptable. The clothes are not designed for short people. None of the employees can be identified due to no name tags. The store was very tidy, but the employees were not helpful at all as if they hated being there. There are so many options of stores you best believe I will never patron Theory again... 🙁

Worse sales associate. Tried to buy 3 shorts which was put in 70% off rack. When I took then to billing lady said it’s not 70% off. It’s 40% off. She said new employee put all of then in wrong place . Next moment she flipped on customers have put in wrong place. I showed them saying it can’t be like all of them have been put by customer. They don’t honor their wrong doing and accept. If this happens in Nordstrom or any other store they will honor the price

They cut the line at 1:30pm and said will be back at 3pm. Store still closed until 3:45pm.

People are waiting in line IN RAIN since 3pm.

So irresponsible and I won’t spend 1 doll on this anymore.

I have shopped Theory for decades and was happy to see the outlet store included when they opened in Livermore. However after my last experience, sadly I will return to the regular store or large department stores if I need Theory going forward.
I purchased over $1100 worth of items including 3 sweaters, 3 pair of pants and on a whim at checkout- a collarless blazer to go with a pair of pants. Everything went home into my closet where I look at how they work with my current wardrobe. I decided against the collarless jacket -thinking it would go better with cropped pants and brought it back to the store to return within 8 days of purchase-tags intact-never worn. I never even tried it on as I didn’t like the look. There the sales rep started going over the jacket -called the manager over and he promptly told me that they would never have sold this jacket in this condition-that I must have done something to cause a smudge on the faux front pocket. Furthermore it looked to them that it had been worn. While I know sone people wear and return there are tell tale signs of this -such as wrinkles in the sleeves. This jacket was exactly as it was taken out of the tissue. Given this was the managers response, I had no recourse and left with the blazer, which I guess I will try to sell at consignment. My suggestion is if you consider purchasing ANYTHING from this store-go over each item with a fine tooth comb. You will not be given the benefit of the doubt.

I found an amazingly priced pair of jeans, tried them on (they fit great), and got all the way home before realizing that the jeans that made it into my bag were the wrong size! There was apparently a mix-up at the register. Because I lived quite far from the store, the wonderful managers there allowed me to mail in my jeans and exchange them for the right size. Amazing customer service!

Excellent service!

I was helped by Terrence and the customer assistance skills he demonstrated were way beyond my expectations.
He did everything right, from recommending a matching set for my WFH slacks in my favorite color, to arranging a fitting room for me, helping me figure out and enabling me to try on the correct size, and helping me check out in the end.
He even lint rolled the tee-shirt I just purchased in front of me!

My wife is very particular with style, and she went into this place and she was blown away. Incredible merch and the folks helping her was amazing (I believe his name is Terrence - sorry if i butchered it). We left with over $2K of clothing and literally the next day several items went on sale - her rep helped us out so that we wouldn't have to drive all the way back. HE DIDN'T HAVE TO HELP US.
