My favorite local Safeway ever since College Ave stopped being 24 hours. Booo, COVID! You'd think it would go back to normal by now. I guess this is the "new normal". It sucks. But this Safeway is still a good store, and open until 2 a.m., at least..

Great grocery store to shop at with a pharmacy, bakery and hot food in the deli section. It has ground level & balcony parking lots here so there is PLENTY of parking. I personally just love the fresh made donuts in the morning.

The Ridge is mostly Safeway with rooftop parking so far. It is a good modern Safeway with a deli and a wide choice of foods including organics, gluten free, Mexican, Asian and kosher. The front side of the parking lot includes AAA, a Starbucks, a Chase Bank (with awful service) and a couple other small food places. Alongside the hill is an old quarry lake that predates everything else built there. There are nice benches and it is A great place to have coffee or food outside. A large area of former parking lot and bank is fenced off at the corner of Broadway apparently waiting for an investor. In the meantime, it makes the place look awful when arriving in that direction.

I have been coming here since I was a child and have seen many changes and growth. The store is bright, roomy, and usually well-stocked. Customer service has never been an issue for me. Times have changed and the script has flipped like the Customers and the children that enter the store at lunchtime during the week. They're off the chain and feeling entitled or some have mental issues (adults, I hope) but, the staff is ready for them. I've seen it in action. Very professional and straight to the point. Bravo and thank you for working on the shopping cart situation.
