One of my favorite local store for cheese and Vanleeuwan icecream. They have other local handcrafts too. People are very good and friendly. We mostly get our cheese from here!

Sorry, I never leave bad reviews or any for that matter. However, we had a gift card for this place that expired. They would not accept. Even after explaining the fact that I made an attempt to come back where they were remodeling. Very disappointing as the card was valued at $200. As a good sport we bought cheese and pasta anyway. I didn’t get a chance to call the owner, but now you know.

Great local cheese shop. Ask for help if you want to taste or try and match flavors. Did you forget a cheese plane, they have them. Don't assume the only cheeses they handed are tnt ones on display, ask. You might be surprised.

This place is truly amazing! They have everything I could ever want for all of my cheese needs. The wide selection of hard and soft cheeses, spreads, chips, crackers and other assorted things from knifes to nice cheese boards. The staff is super knowledgeable about all things cheese and are super willing to help with any questions. In particular, the gentleman who helped me, his name was Maxwell, was super helpful and even offered samples of what I asked for before I bought the cheeses. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the area!

LBIFoodies had a nice visit with The Cheese Shoppe at their new Beach Haven location, for the southside of LBI. Like us they support the @Surflight Theatre and the LBI Community. Their motto is: DO GOOD. HELP OTHERS. EAT WELL!! @LBIFOODIES gotta love that!!

Originally founded on LBI in 1981 and still family run, their Northside shop in Surf City has become a go to landmark Cheese Shoppe. I learned a lot about the availability of so many wonderful cheeses, over 100 in season. Hence the need for these specialty cheese shops to help you choose not only Cheeses from around the world and Charcuterie Boards, Gifts baskets, Oliver Oils and Caviar but advice on wine pairings. They even carry NJ wines and much much more.

NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE Purchased 3 containers of cheese spread . When I questioned the owners as to why NOTHING in the store was priced , he claimed that they were short staffed but would happy tell me the prices if I brought the items up to the counter …. Fine , how much are the spreadable cheeses ? Between 6.50 and 9 dollars … went on to indicate the all the containers are now sealed , but still the same cheese spreads that they have always been .. fine made my purchase, came home to 2 of the containers were not sealed and very noticeable that the product had been used … but yet put back in the fridge for sale ! The name is the same but not the quality or service of previous owners . I had been a loyal customer since the cheese shop was in Beach Haven . UNACCEPTABLE !

New owners, beautiful re-do of interior, great fun foods, stuff for purchase for cheese board gifts.
New team needs to find a more efficient way to help customers quickly, as beach visitors aren't gonna wait a long time to be helped and checked out.
