Taos Monte Bello RV Park, LLC - El Prado, New Mexico

The Monte Bello RV camp owner helped us out this past weekend after our truck got a flat tire west of Taos. Despite being closed (Sunday night), she called me back and booked us for a campsite. When we finally arrived at 9pm, CE answered my phone call and gave us the code for the gate. We appreciated her flexibility to book us into a site at the last minute, enabling us to get our tire fixed the next morning before heading home to Colorado. The sites are large and the facilities are very clean.

This nice little RV park, is located right outside of Taos and has stellar morning and evening views of the sun peaking through the mountains. The hosts were so pleasant and explained how to circumvent the construction on the main road through town. It’s a few miles from the Royal Gorge Bridge, and in the other direction, the Taos Pueblo.

It was so quiet at night, even though it’s right on US64, an occasional car. Not an issue.

The skies were so perfect for star gazing as it’s far from the Taos city lights, I could even see the veil of the Milky Way. It was amazing.

I would definitely recommend this to any traveler. They have full pull through sites, back-in, and a few sheltered tent sites.

This is a great little park! A lot of care and attention obviously goes into running this place. The sites are spacious, laundry and bathrooms are clean and we felt very secure here with the gated entry. Loved the walking path and the gorgeous views! This place is a real gem, we’ve been on the road for a month and this is by far the best park we’ve stayed at.

We enjoy small rv parks and this one was perfect. Extremely friendly staff, extremely clean and very easy camp set up. The office and laundry room very clean. The views of the mountains from every place in the rv park. Sunset different every night. Close to Taos downtown, Enchanted Circle drive and Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. A very pleasant visit.

We stayed here for 2 months. This is the most beautiful park I’ve stayed in. The Mountain View’s are phenomenal. This place is clean, has a little convenience store, has restrooms with showers and a washer and dryer. The people who run this place are sweet and helpful. It’s also just a few miles from the Rio Grande Gorge.

It’s a dog friendly park but you can’t take the dogs into the facility.

Another review made mention of high traffic and a dog grooming place across the street. I was parked closest to the highway and I never heard any noise from the dog place and didn’t hear much traffic either.

Wonderful and quaint RV park! If you don’t like crowds and love beautiful sunsets, this is the park you want! The owner, CE, is the sweetest lady and very helpful. The park is gated and we felt very secure while there. Only one washer and dryer, but with it being such a small park it was sufficient. Only minutes to the Taos plaza, the Gorge, the airport, restaurants and other amenities. Very good WiFi. My husband and I highly recommend and will be back!

This small, family run RV park offers spacious level sites & some of the best mountain & mesa views in the area. The bath/shower room was clean & spacious. Beautiful landscaping & a walking path through the sage also awaits.

Be advised that the RV park is right on a state highway with a fair amount of truck traffic & across the street from a (barking) dog boarding place - Olé!

This park had both pros and cons. The pros were it was in a location just a few miles from town. The park was small, well kept and fairly level gravel sites. ||The cons were it was located on a very busy road that could be very loud even at night. There was a dog boarding facility across the street that at times, not all the time, had a lot of loud barking dogs. Upon arrival I was told they charge to use a credit card. As we were there for a week I didn’t have enough cash so I had to pay the extra $10. This, along with tax put the nightly cost just under $60. Then while setting up, the owner came over and informed my husband we were responsible for our own electricity. Never had this for a short stay and it was never mentioned prior. When checking out there was no one available to read the meter so I could pay. The owner called me a couple days later to tell me what I owed (about $20) and when she put it on my credit card she also up charged me for using a card even though I had tried to avoid the issue by paying prior to leaving. So, about $63 per night for a place with zero amenities in this location seemed a bit pricy to me. I think people should be made aware of the extra charges when reserving.
