I can't say enough wonderful things about Taos Ceramics Center! I've taken several weekend workshops and multiple 6-week classes, and each experience has been exceptional.

The instructors are truly outstanding - knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about ceramics. They provide personalized attention and guidance regardless of your skill level, making both beginners and experienced potters feel welcome and supported.

What really sets this place apart are the immaculate facilities. The studio space is always clean and well-maintained, with quality equipment and tools available for use. I appreciate how organized everything is, which creates a productive and inspiring environment for creativity.

The atmosphere is perhaps the most special aspect - warm, collaborative, and genuinely encouraging. I've made wonderful connections with fellow ceramic enthusiasts while developing my skills. Whether you're a complete novice or an experienced potter, you'll find a supportive community here.

If you're interested in ceramics at any level, I couldn't recommend Taos Ceramics Center more highly. It's become my creative home away from home, and I look forward to every class I take there!

I had the pleasure of taking an Intro to Clay class recently at Taos Ceramics Center. Not only was the teacher/artist, Rebecca Browning-Yager amazing but the studio itself was clean, welcoming, very organized, and had everything one would need to cultivate their interest in ceramics. Georgia, the owner, is super helpful and very knowledgeable, ready to help and teach! This place is a true Taos gem!

Just wanted to tell you how much we love the pieces we purchased from you. I drink coffee from the mug all the time! We have the beautiful bowl sitting on our china cabinet in our dining room.
The slot canyon lamp of course is absolutely gorgeous! I have it on my dresser beside my jewelry box. I turn it on every night as it gets dark and think of our adventures as we have traveled through Utah and New Mexico. Can’t wait to visit again!

The Taos Ceramic Center is an absolute gem. I recently participated in a workshop and have high praise not only for the quality of instruction but also the workspace. The owners, Georgia and Jules, have clearly put a great amount of effort and attention into creating a fantastic studio; it’s organized, complete with high quality equipment and materials, and very well maintained (clean work environment). I also loved the camaraderie with fellow students. Thanks to TCC for a great time!

My spouse took the introductory wheel class here and had a very good experience. She had no previous experience with clay. The instructors/staff were very kind and patient with her, making her feel welcomed. She really appreciated the respect they showed to her, even though she was an unskilled novice. It is nice that novices are able to work in proximity to established artists. The facility is not fancy, but is kept in a very clean state, and is well cared for.
She looks forward to working at TCC in the future.

A few weeks ago I participated in an amazing 2 day workshop led by legendary Raku artist, Jim Romberg. The workshop was at the TCC and it was incredible and inspiring!
As the workshop was just a weekend, I left the TCC with a wealth of knowledge about the Raku process, and I am excited to share my learning experience with my highschool students. Jim has a gentle spirit, kind and easy to talk to, with a great sense of humor. It was awesome how Jim shared his creative processes with the group, and the steps he takes when laying down the foundations for a new artwork.
The TCC is a wonderful place to take a workshop. They capped the workshop at 10 students which I thought was perfect for the space. We were all able to get one on one instruction, with constructive criticism and guidance about our own clay pieces without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. This workshop created friendships for life.
The TCC is spotless, clean and extremely organized. Everything has its specific place. You can tell that every member who uses the studio takes great pride in keeping it shining and running smoothly. The environment is incredibly important to everyone, filled with positive and peaceful vibes. It is a beautiful place to learn and make happy mistakes.
The gallery is top notch! Professional and impressive!
When visiting Taos or living here … you must check out and support the Taos Ceramics Center, along with their local artists. I definitely plan on returning and look forward to next year’s summer workshops.

I participated in a micaceous clay hand-building and pit firing workshop with Bernadette and Carl at the Taos Ceramics Center, and it was one of the most enjoyable, rewarding and inspiring art learning experiences I've had in my 40 years of working with clay. The teachers are deeply connected to their art and its history, to the lore and meaning of the work and its roots in native American culture. And they really show you how to hand build with accuracy, finesse and skill. The facility itself is full of light and warmth with all possible resources to do clay work. It's in a nice, open quiet part of town. The owners, Georgia and Jules, are wonderful, positive and friendly, steeped in ceramics culture and obviously people who love ceramics. They couldn't be more accessible or helpful. And in the same building as the workshops are held is a world class gallery featuring some of the leading ceramic artists of our time. I've visited galleries with ceramic art around the world and their gallery stands right there with the best. If you have a chance to take a workshop or get your hands on one of their workshop spaces, I recommend you do so as soon as possible!

This is a great studio! I took a beginners class here, and my husband took an Intermediate Wheel class. The classes were delightful! The beginners class was perfect for me: everything was explained clearly, which is what I needed since I hadn't touched clay since middle school. The teacher, Rebecca, was very patient and provided great coaching. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his class. The studio was very welcoming. We will definitely take more classes and continue with our ceramics odyssey thanks to Taos Ceramics
