Ace is the place to go for helpful folks who are experienced. What I admire is that the workers are probably not from Stockton. I never feel out of place or bothered/harassed when browsing. Even when you bring in window screens to be fixed, they explain it all without making you feel as if you bothered them. The store has been here for years, and I appreciate having knowledgeable and professional people to assist.

My husband and I have never been to this store we are bearly 3 feet into the store and were asked what we were looking for today we told the employee we were looking at paint today. So he calls for help in the paint and we told him we weren't ready for help that we would let him know when we did. (So that way he could continue doing whatever he was doing or help another customer that was ready for his help). Instead of doing that he decides to literally followe my husband and I down every single aisle we went down making us feel very uncomfortable and very unwelcome. I get that keeping an eye on or watching there customers is their job but there is a difference between that and following your customers. Ive worked in customer service and your supposed to make people feel welcome, comfortable, be helpful, kind, and observant. Not to make your customers feel discriminated against, stereotyped, belittled, judged, spoken to, and emotionally abused especially by somewhere that is supposed to be a "professional place of business". The manager and employee both admitted that they were judging and stereotyped typing us because of tattoos. None of our tattoos are gang related, inappropriate or offensive in anyway but apparently to them everyone with visible tattoos should be treated and looked at differently. I left this store in tears because of the way we were treated and spoken to. Unexceptable customer service from older male employee and female manager. It doesn't deserve a star but I have no choice

Order online for a smoker to be picked up on Saturday( ordered monday) called at 10am on Saturday to check up on the status of my smoker, worker says it’s sitting on the pallet and has not been assembled. I asked when will it be done, workers said noon and will call me. 2pm came by no call I called them back and they haven’t even start working on it. Terrible work ethics, had to cancel my order never again will I shop here

Stopped in to pick up some liquid plumber for a clogged sink after spending two hours trying to clear it myself. Fully expecting it not to work….a really tough clog….and having to call a plumber. The Ace associate recommended another brand, I used it and it was clear within 15 minutes. It was really strong stuff but the associate went over safety precautions so I was prepared. I really feel that I saved $200 by not having to call a plumber.Very happy with the service and help I received. Will definitely be back.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time. They sent someone out for an estimate, didn't tell me there's a $185 up front deposit, he did one quick fix, and told me he'd be back. The lady that is supposed to manage the jobs didn't communicate with me. She told me I'd hear about my job "by the end of the day" only to never hear from her. I finally got a call from my handyman. He told me they're slamming him with work and his phone is getting blown up for him to call customers. Then they scheduled an appointment to do some of my work, he no-showed, and no one ever called me to tell me. I had pulled out everything in preparation for doing the work. Then, instead of coming out and having the handyman do an estimate for work, I was told I needed to crawl up in my attic and send them pictures to see if they could do my job. He should have done this during his first visit. Then I had to drive to the store to ask for my money back. She told me because he did a quick fix they couldn't give me my money back. I was furious. Eventually they refunded my money. Avoid this place like the plague for your handyman needs. It's the most unprofessional, unfriendly, disorganized place I've delt with in a long, long time.
