I've been coming since I was probably 4yrs old, being 3 blocks away & a child of the 80's & 90's, free reign of the neighborhood & told to stay outside until the street lights came on meant needing your supplies of cap gun refills, candy, stink bombs & snappers constantly filled. 36yrs later management has changed but layout, toy spindle & menu at deli pretty much has not. The magazine section & Mad & Cracked Mags are gone. As a kid, the sub sandwiches were incredible; fried chicken, super tasty. Unsure how it is now. Hours say closes at 10pm but they close or start shutting down at 930pm & if you aren't there by then , they will be closed by 945pm. Weekends, mostly Sundays, don't count on any time being open, they've been closed at 3pm before. However; if you get inside after 940pm, don't expect to feel welcomed nor feel like they want your business . Lottery is shut down for any purchases by 9pm. Everything has no price listed & you're committing a mortal sin asking. If you can choose another place to provide your business, may be ideal to do so, more because everything is more expensive than really 95% anywhere else but considering cost of everything everywhere has increased, it's not surprising.

Since stallion market is just down the street from my place of employment (and the only store for miles), I frequent that establishment quite often. I like that somebody always welcomes me as I walk through the door with some sort of friendly greeting without fail. I've tried to and have failed to make a sandwich as good as theirs.

The lady that makes the sandwiches was NOT wearing gloves. And when I went to go say something, she shook her head. My bad, I took the sandwiches anyways, because we were really hungary, and they looked really good. Yes, the sandwiches were excellent, but why don't they ever have jalapeño poppers? Thos are very good too. They should make more.

The Stallion market is a nice community market. Good place to pick up a sandwich if on the run or do some grocery shopping. Or pick up some alcoholoc or non alcoholic bevetages. Plenty of free paved parking. Good friendly service. Fair prices.

Expensive, even for a little liquor/market type store. A little bag of dog food, a generic brand, was $7.89. but the place is handy for the large ranch homes that surround it. There's a feed store across the street that's a really good feed store for horse accessories,food and things for all other farm animals. Ive purchased pot belly. Pig food and the price was very reasonable. Sorry but I don't remember the name, my bad 😭.
