I am beyond frustrated with my recent experience at Ace Hardware in St. Johns, AZ. I purchased several packs of hinges for cabinet doors, only to find that the type I bought wasn't compatible with my cabinets. So, I decided to return the unused hinges.

Despite having the receipt and the items being unused, I was informed that they couldn’t accept the return because the packaging was "damaged." Here’s the kicker: there is no way to open these packages without damaging them in some way, especially when you're checking the size and fit of the hinges.

This is absolutely ridiculous. The hinges themselves were unused, and the packaging was only “damaged” because I had to open it to inspect the product. I understand the need for policies around returns, but this goes too far. If Ace’s policy is that you can’t return an item if the packaging is damaged—no matter the condition of the product itself—then I will seriously think twice before buying anything packaged at their store.

Save yourself the headache. If you’re considering purchasing something in a package at Ace, make sure you’re 100% certain before opening it because once you do, you’re stuck with it—even if the product is in perfect condition. Very disappointing.

The staff was friendly, the cashier Shannar took me on a tour in the store for gluten-free foods. I was very impressed that they carry so many products that I can eat. I will be shopping at st John's Market for now on. Thank you again Shannar for being so helpful.

The Market? The first thing that cought my attention was the name, plain and simple. You walk in and the store is wide open, it welcome's you to come in and shop. It's not a grocery store, it's too small, but it's big enough to carry a lot of common needs. Plenty of parking, easy access, several handicapped parking, wheelchair access, public restrooms. I gave it a 4 star strictly on the size alone, I highly recommend this store if you're in St John's, it's the only store in that town.

closest market near St Johns and pretty convenient. Wouldn’t shop there all the time but if I forget something during my big trips it’s easy to run down and pick up some basics.

Unfortunately a lot of items are priced really high however it’s not surprising as it’s probably very difficult to get shipments out here. Some things are reasonable but egg are about 6 dollars when at the dollar general next store you can get them for around 2.75 a dozen. Overall though I thinks a pretty decent store still. It’s pretty large and they actually have a lot of gourmet-ish items like homemade basil and beet pasta and custom mixed spices that I’m excited to try.

I went over there because I thought there was no way they could be more expensive than the dollar general across the street, but I was very wrong. They are considerably more expensive somehow. You will still save money after gas costs by driving 40 minutes to walmart.
