South Windsor is one of the best places to live, raise a family, start a business, or retire in the Northeastern part of the United States! Perfectly placed between major highway systems, South Windsor is nestled in scenic hills, access to parks and wetlands, sport fields, and many community amenities. South Windsor also has a great school system that continues to meet and exceed student success, a responsive municipal system, and it's a top destination for businesses such as Whole Foods, Shake Shack, Chase Bank, and Apple. With a growing diverse population, South Windsor is a town that you should consider in your next move!

The building department is great to work with as a local contractor. No major issues at all after 15 years of business. Chris and Mike are easy to work with and are open to honest discussions as to the application of local building codes and practices. Zoning is reasonable, but has had a few setbacks on reading and interpreting their own laws; I managed to set those straight by flipping some pages in their book. No big deal. Tax people are friendly, (as they should be, considering what they do for a living) and the notary service is very convenient. I'd give 5 stars, but the assessor's office can't seem to get my business entity name correct on my personal property declaration over the past few years. Do you willingly pay a tax bill sent to your address, but not addressed to you? Neither do I. As for elected officials, make your own assessments, and let God sort the rest out. No politics for me unless it directly impinges the smooth running of my business. If it does, I may amend this review. 🙂

This is NOT where the town hall is. This is an empty lot. I did the Google Map click and drag to edit this location to the correct spot on the map, but it is still showing up at the wrong place...miles from where the town hall actually is.
