I can confidently say this team is the most hospitable on the island. Their commitment to the community is truly remarkable, and they embody what it means to be stand-up individuals. We've had the pleasure of working with them at two of our events, and every one of our boarders has been thoroughly impressed. Had an amazing experience paddle boarding here! The woman (wish I knew her name!) who helped us with getting started was so kind and helpful. Everyone working there was so sweet and encouraging, making sure to help us when we needed it. Such a beautiful spot to go paddle boarding, and a great area for beginners to get acclimated to paddle boarding. We had a 10/10 experience, thank you to the whole team at South End Surf ‘N Paddle, can’t wait to come back next summer!

We had an amazing time!! Melissa gave great instructions and guided us to beautiful spots along the bay. We were lucky to have an amazing sunset, and she took great photos!! Would definitely recommend Surf ‘N Paddle for anyone looking for a fun activity on the bay!

This was my second season working for South End and it was absolutely amazing! The whole crew is so friendly and are always talking in a way that you can hear them smiling on the phone. Matt is the most amazing and chill boss ever. He always puts customers first and genuinely cares about them and their experiences. Everyone is family and not just the ones that work there. Everyone. I looked forward to going to work everyday and will miss everyone! ❤️🤙🏻

We had the pleasure of booking a group semi private lesson for 5 with South End this week and we can’t say enough positive things. Maggie and TJ were excellent, passionate, energetic, friendly and made this first experience absolutely magic. Matt and Mango at the shop made sure everyone was excited and pumped for the lesson. Really started the energy off right. We had one member with special needs who they made sure was comfortable & engaged the entire time. I can’t tell you what it meant to me to see my sons and their cousins out on the water together bonding and laughing. We will definitely be back and recommend South End to anyone who wants a true surf experience from locals who love this place as much as we do. Thank you for making the kids first ever surf lesson one that turned into a new hobby for them all !!!!!

South End was one of my favorite surf shops I have ever been to. Staff is beyond friendly and helpful. They had an amazing deal on rash guards and my friends and I rented a surfboard with no problem ,Overall my experience was amazing here! Highly recommend to either learn how to surf or rent a surfboard.

I had my first surf lesson with South End a year ago and have been hooked on surfing ever since. I came back this summer to rent a board for my Dad and met the new owner Matt. He was extremely friendly, helpful, and spent the extra time to talk and get to know me. The rest of the staff is always welcoming as well. South End holds a special place in my heart, and I’m happy it remains in the hands of the right people!

Wesley had an outstanding surf lesson today with Coach Charlie Reed from Southend Surf and Paddle. Living in LBI, Wes is familiar with the local ocean, and with previous surfing experience in Costa Rica, he was thrilled to catch waves independently without his dad's assistance. Charlie provided fun, relaxed instruction, offering one-on-one help in the ocean and engaging the kids with enjoyable beach games. The timing and tides were perfectly chosen to match the surfers' abilities, ensuring a safe and rewarding experience. Wes had a fantastic time, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the session.
