Had a terrible experience there today due to (whom I'm assuming is) a manager that made my daughter and I feel like criminals (we've purchased so many shoes there so I was taken back by her behavior). So much so that I bypassed getting two pairs of shoes we went there to purchase for back to school. Way to run off local customers, especially at a time like this when Ruidoso needs the local business the most and locals need to feel welcomed into said businesses. Your merchandise is dramatically inflated in price anyway. That lady needs a nice dose of a reality check.

I have been debating writing this. It happened about two weeks ago. I was walking in the store and heard a manager yelling at the employees most of which were young adults and teenagers. She was outright hateful and saying some very offensive things. I stood and listened to her yell for about five minutes. The manager had short spiky hair, a mole by her eye, and was wearing a blue shoe dept collared shirt. Being a small business owner I was completely appalled at how verbally abusive she was towards her employees. The only reason I have continued to shop in this store is the outgoing personalities of the workers who have helped me in the past. I gave five stars only because I was impressed on how well they handled themselves after being spoken to in such a harsh and unprofessional manner.

Everytime I come to Roswell and go to Shoe Dept, the employees are all just sitting at the counter hanging out. They don't walk around the store helping customers. The store is trash. It doesn't matter if it's the young kids working or the older ppl working, they are all just sitting around doing nothing.

Wow! Xavier helped us. He has customer service like we did in the 90's. He knows what shoes they carry! I called over the phone because for two days I had been searching for specific shoes and was sick of driving from place to place after online says they carry them. Without asking he described the colors of the Shae and offered to hold them since I was just down the road. Thanks for the best customer service in when shopping for shoes that I have had in decades😁

I live in Fort Sumner and I drove all the way to Roswell to get me some shoes. As I arrived I was already tired from the drive, so I was thankful for Adam to help me as right when I walked into the store. He help me pick the right style of shoes and got me in and out so I could get back home.

Staff welcome you but you have to do your self customer service and they don't come to you if you need help with anything that is sopposed to be their job. They also in their spare time or not helping with customer s they make out or make fun of people while doing nothing. They hire to much people. Shoes are expensive 60.00 for 1 pair of shoes!?! They can lower the price for that.
