I've had many storage units throughout my life of moving & this storage unit was the worst of all my experiences with the lack of unprofessionalism & communication of when my late fees & other fees applied to avoid auction & not lose my children's childhood items 😞. There was NO EFFORT of NO letters , NO phone calls & VERY vague emails for my situation of what's is due to avoid auction. They lack professionalism & communication to update me on my account owed to avoid this to lose all my children's items & my work life belongings. Its like they want their customers to NOT BE AWARE of their delinquent accounts to auction & make more $$$ for themselves. They don't deserve to be on the scale of 1 star...

We have used Shield storage in Bernalillo 2 different times. Both times their prices were the best and it was easy to setup online without having to go into the office. The facility is always very clean and secure. 👍🏽👍🏽😊

I had been a client for only 7 months I had my travel trailer parked on site. Over the holiday I went to put my cover on my trailer to discover both my 2 propane tanks along with my 2 batteries had been stolen. There are no security cameras around the premises except at the main gate. The gate was also an issue which I had experienced multiple times not be operational over the summer causing an inconvenience.
After the discovery of my stolen property hilariously checking my home mail I get a letter from the facility that they were raising my rent hopefully they use these raised rent fees to purchase cameras and a full time functioning gate.
If you plan on renting here using a storage locker you may be fine because your stuff is locked up but if your planning on leaving a trailer or anything parked outside good luck thinking you property is safe. You may find yourself in my predicament along with the response of “call your insurance “.
Now that this is out corporate will respond below with some FAKE apology. Don’t be fooled by their apology read other reviews apparently I’m not the only one that has dealt with theft here.

Stored travel trailer there for 6 weeks. Thieves brought power tools to remove safety chains, jockey wheel, stabilizer jack legs and hardware. No video anywhere to identify the thieves except at the gates so I'm out $350 with no recourse and had to pay retail to replace it all on the fly to remove the trailer and cancel the contract. Manager is fine and pricing isn't horrible. Tight spacing for anything. Clearly meth remains popular in ABQ.

Secure facility with extended hours compared to most storage places. I've had my camping gear here for years and have never had an issue.
