Publix
Always the 1st place that is up and running after another hurricane. Our power was out for 6 days after Milton just hit us hard. We're thankful to Publix for being there with the essentials while you're without electricity that long. Thaks to them and a big thanks to the workers from state after state that traveled here to get us back up and into the 21st century.!!!

I love coming to Sarasota Village. I've been to other villages, but Sarasota Village is and will always be my favorite Village. I'm not sure what it is, but the air just seems a bit more crisp and the colors appear more vibrant. Well done.

This is the best Publix in town. I am here almost daily. The staff knows me by name and are phenomenal and super friendly. Always helpful and will go out of their way to do the right thing. If i could give additional stars I would

This is my Publix. The staff is super. They'll walk right to the item you can't find. The bakery is scrumptious and the deli meat is wonderful. If you're in a hurry, you can grab hot or cold food to go. And you can even check yourself out with a few items. They are a friendly & helpful crew.

In spite of the fact that their White Mountain bread is the best ever, every one of their stores I visit each week while my home Publix at the Landings is being rebuilt has, along with their philosophy and business model to gouge its customers for whatever they will tolerate; one really big deficit is their bakeries. Mainly, the bakery staff are not properly supervised. Firstly, they do not knead their breads fully and let the dough rise in an overly warm setting, thus rendering much of the loaves full of holes, which isn't great for containing any sandwich condiments. Worse, they slice these loaves of very soft breads when they are warm out of the oven; which again leaves the customer with crushed, mishapen slices and is inusable. They also put the sliced loaves cross-wise in the plastic bags, making it difficult to remove.
