The machine for the self check out was so horrifyingly bad. I was overwhelmed, and I felt small. I will never be going back there again. The machine overpowered me, and I did not know what to do with myself, I have been emotionally traumatized from this very Sainsbury’s local. I will now go into an eternal slumber; this traumatizing place can’t hurt me there.

Just opposite Cityroomz, think they get tourists buying snacks/drinks and sandwiches. Great choice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Tried their bakery section, which seems prepared on the spot. Not prepacked. Surprised how good! Loved their crusty bun which Belgians will recognize as their Sunday 'pistolets". Really great. So the next Sunday treated me to crusty bun and also a 'pain au chocolat' (just like the real stuff in Paris!) and had breakfast in the hotel with a cup og hot chocolate! After days of full Scottish breakfast a nice alternative! 🙂

This is a review for the security guard on duty on Thursday (around 3pm) He was very reasonable and calm with a gentleman who came at him in a very confrontational manner. His de-escalation of the situation was well handled and swift. His friendly but direct manner made everyone feel safe and I felt that he treated the man (who seemed to be living fairly rough and was clearly expecting some form of discrimination) with compassion.
