Had a great first time experience here. I walked in and was sweetly greeted by the man behind the counter (I forgot to ask his name but will next time). He answered all my questions and made me feel welcome. It’s a comfy shop with cute extra knick knacks like 3D printer critters (I bought 2), some duck theme items and a clearance section.

Will definitely be making this place a common visit! 😊

Super awesome spot for tabletop gaming. Relaxed environment with plenty of people to interact with. Multiple tables with scenery built onto it for games like Warhammer. 100% visiting again when I’m in that area.

Great little place for tabletop games. They even have a little coffee shop connected to the store itself so it smells amazing in there. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. It will definitely be a regular DnD spot for our group.

Cool store but super uncomfortable. The whole time from the moment I walked in with a friend there was some guy following us literally standing a foot behind wherever we were looking. I couldn’t even talk to my friend without him jumping in to say something for a solid 10 minutes until we just walked out. A weird experience.

One of my favorite hangouts. They serve alcohol, but I've not seen anyone not handle it irresponsibly there. Perhaps it's because the gaming element keeps people thinking, but although not everyone will get along, groups there are always willing to welcome a new face.

I am sharing this in hopes that those who feel as I do make the trip! I visit ROE all the time and am looking forward to visiting both their bar and game store again! According to Google Maps, ROE identifies itself as Black-owned, veteran-led, and women-led; three things I would normally go out of my way to support. To my gratitude, the following sign greeted me upon arrival, prominently featured in ROE's store-front window: "Guns are welcome on premises. Please keep all weapons holstered unless need arises. In such cases, judicious marksmanship is appreciated." So making any trip to Calera specifically to visit ROE is always worth it. I made sure to plan to visit so many times its ridiculous and possibly dangerous! As a red blooded American, I believe in the 2nd Amendment and all data shows that the "good guy with a gun myth" is reality! I prefer my tavern interactions to be with fun, respectable folks and I know just where to find them, in my not-so-local hobby shop!

Best prices I have found outside the internet. These people are about the games and those who play them. Could not be happier that this place has moved into the area. And the "geek themed" coffee shop attached to it allows you to caf up if you need to.

This place is great. I have been to several game stores that do not welcome newbies to the scene, but at R.O.E. I was welcomed from the get go. It is clean, does not smell like a basement, is family friendly, and is being constantly improved for a upscale evening destination at the “tavern”. I highly recommend you spend your gaming dollars here and make a few new friends in the process.
