My wife and daughter needed to use the bathroom And they forced them to make a purchase in order to be allowed to use the bathroom. If anybody else encounters this problem I recommend you purchase one penny worth of gas. Therefore you have technically purchased something And can use the bathroom. Or just avoid this stop altogether

Great place out there in BFE for a truck driver to get some groceries or maybe hot deli food and drinks and they have diesel for your truck if you screwed up and forgot to get some before heading to the middle of nowhere 😆 🤣

I just want to say thank you to the person who worked here years ago who saved my life (kind of). I got lost in the area, had no signal, no clue where I was going and almost ran out of gas driving those terrifying mountain roads of Lassen Volcanic national park. It was dark out and I decided to ask if I could use the clerks phone to send out my last known location in case I got lost again with what directions I had gotten at the gas station (and man was i so happy to have found that gas station). When I asked, the clerk who had not been there when i orginally asked for help had just gotten back from lunch and she said "oh you are lost?" And pulled out a stack of flyers. The flyers said "you aren't lost, you are right here with us". I cried. The clerk hugged me and gave me the flyers which had a hand drawn map to take- a map that some kind person took the time to print dozens of copies of for lost travlers to feel some sense of peace as they carried on in their travels. What a kind gesture that was. That meant so much to me, as I was a young woman, alone, who had no intention of taking a blind, no gaurd rail, windy twisty turny detour. This was 4 years ago but I think of that kindness often and I hope if you are reading this that life is treating you well. Thank you for making me feel safe when I have never been more scared ❤️ 💙 💜 💖

Most of the staff are very helpful and often kind , they have even stayed open late for me when I called ahead and was almost out of gas. Some of there prices are a bit high and it's frustrating that the price isn't posted I understand that it is hard to keep up with, with how fast the price keeps changing now a days . However they sell screws by the pound and the screws at least are the cheapest I have found anywhere. Overall a good place to stop if your passing through, they are the last gas and grocery/ hardware you'll see in many miles , no matter what direction your taking and just might have the items you need and forgot to get. Food is high priced but taste great, and the egg rolls are the best if you get there early enough you might get lucky enough to try one .
