Mediocre, at best.

Before moving into our new home, we hired RB Painting Plus (based on their stellar reviews) for several, simultaneous and large scale projects; consisting of interior painting, removing old carpets and installing new carpets, refinishing our hardwood floors, refinishing a main staircase, and new flooring installation. The large scale painting was done very well, however the smaller paint jobs (which are the areas more visible to the naked eye), were handled by helpers, who paid zero attention to detail. The carpet installer is a kind older gentleman who works alone, but clearly needs a hand. My husband helped him remove and discard the old carpet and carry the new carpet upstairs. After the carpet was installed, we noticed it was pulling up in several corners and I politely asked the installer to fix it, which he did, but I still had to point it out as he didn’t check his final work product. Also, he will leave you with a million cut fibers of carpet to clean up yourself AND a ton of floss-like threads sticking up along the edges that you’ll have to go around to pull up and cut yourself. We’ve had carpets installed in our previous home by a different company and it was pristine when they finished, as it should be. We paid for the staircase to be refinished too, but only the steps were stained. The railings weren’t touched, even though it was discussed. After signing a contact (for tens of thousands of dollars), that error should have been remedied - instead we were told how we could do it ourselves (!) or that they’d quote us to have it done for an additional fee. The man they sent to touch-up the paint after the flooring was refinished must be paid by the hour (they don’t offer touch-ups as a courtesy) as he spent almost 8 hours touching up paint only for us to see how much he missed, so we had to touch it up ourselves anyway. The RB Painting “Plus” is clearly too much for them. There were projects that we had initially discussed, and wanted quotes for, that we never received (in hindsight, thank goodness). They should stick to basic painting services and invest more time in training their contractors to pay attention to detail.

I can't say enough great things about RB Painting! I had a very short window to have all the work done and they did it all with one day to spare! The owner Rich came when he said he would, understood the time crunch, and said no problem they could do it and they did! With the nicest crew of painters and the flooring guys were fantastic! Mike the foreman was amazing! The crew of painters couldn't have been nicer, professional and all of them went above and beyond to get the job done! I love supporting small local businesses and these guys did not disappoint! Price was reasonable.. But the quality (and quantity they painted the entire inside of my house and carpeting as well ) of work they did I definitely would have paid more! I highly recommend RB Painting!

RB painted the interior of our home in addition to some light carpentry work. I highly recommend them. They were great to work with through the entire process. High quality work. Super professional. Fair prices. The communication with the foreman and other painters was great; they always double-checked what we wanted with each decision and gave good design suggestions based on their experience in other homes.

We had been wanting to get the exterior of our house painted for a few years now and after seeing the great job this crew did with our neighbors house across the street, we had reached out and inquired about getting an estimate for the job. Rich was able to come very soon after that inquiry and we had an estimate a few days later. We felt the estimate was extremely fair for the scope of work to be performed and signed the contract immediately. Everyone was very punctual, professional, courteous, kind and respectful from the crew who came to powerwash/prep, to the carpenters who had to repair/replace some rotten siding, to the painters. Mike and Scott were the crew who did the bulk of the job (the painting) and they were the real MVP's. They have an excellent work ethic, are very polite and respectful, have a great familiarity with their years of painting experience and the greatest attention to detail. We honestly couldn't be happier with how fantastic the house looked when they were done. It looks like a brand new house. We are so grateful for the care everyone took to make our house look beautiful again. We will definitely hire them again for the next project.
