If you’re in Chimayó stop here for a meal. The ranch house is cool, the food is good and their Palomas are delicious! Service was great too!
It was my first time trying the sopaipillas and I loved them!

Yes, this is a classic. People come from great distances including tour buses. I had the March Cod special. My wife had the stuffed sopapilla. Her only complaint was it was pretty soft. Just be prepared if you order this. The ambiance is unique if just a little busy feeling.

Wow! Very cool spot located in Chimayó. The whole grounds are very cute and fun. A lot of history there and they do a good job of giving you a taste of the history and culture. The food was so good too. I got the beef enchiladas and they were delicious!

Sorry for the boring review, but I have nothing bad to say about RdC. Meanwhile, I could definitely list a few bad things in nearby Santa Fe (along with a number of good). Thus, a trip to RdC is one of my favorite local getaways. Also, a perfect place to take out-of-state visitors who want to experience local culture before the state was conquered and subjugated by wealthy Texans and wicked politicians. The servers are lovely as is the garden in season. And of course the local "Lourdes" is practically next door. Even if the dirt don't heal 'ya, the food at RdC will.

The last time I was in New Mexico in 2013 I visited this establishment and liked the food. I came back again in 2024. The portion size is huge. The quality of the ingredients are excellent. Get the veggie tamale there and the combination vegetarian plate, a lot of food for two. Both the green and the red chili were on the spicy side. If you get in early try to get a table next to the fireplace.

Also tried the Bisque Beer Scotia Scotch Ale and it was excellent. The beer pores dark like an iced tea, smells multi fruity, I would say medium to light bodied not to cloudy easy drinking.

One of my favorite restaurants in New Mexico, the Rancho always delivers. Exceptional service, atmosphere and delicious and very affordable food. And complimentary sopaipillas, best enjoyed with honey. Don't miss eating here and make sure to visit the Santuario too.

Want to feel like abuela just cooked you the dopest meal she’s ever made Want to eat like a viking that just pillaged a new mexican village and kept the cook? Go check out Rancho de Chimayó!! You won’t be disappointed, just be nice to the staff 😁

The restaurant has a nostalgic vibe, like stepping into a time capsule from twenty or thirty years ago. While it's quite busy, it has a well-loved, vintage charm. The food is decent, but it feels a bit like a blast from the past.
