Great thrift store in Sanford.
The clothing here is geared towards young girls and teenagers but for an old fart like me I actually found a really cool black jacket with studs.
You can turn your clothes in here and they will give you cash.
If you turn clothes in they will give 10% off regular price and then you can take the money that you got from your old clothes in buy new clothes.
Right now they're having 70% off yellow tags which is a really good deal.
The staff here are super friendly and are very helpful.
They have women's and men's clothing here shoes handbags accessories lots of really nice unique pieces.
The parking can get quite busy on Saturday afternoon so I would suggest coming during the week.

There is so much to choose from here you will need to spend at least an hour looking through.
The prices are definitely higher than a normal thrift store but these are nice clothes and you will find something unique and special.
Price is range for a jacket $10 to $14 looks like most jeans were $14 but they're having a clearance right now.
America definitely has an abundance of clothes!!!!😝

Excellent customer service. Greetings on entry and exiting. Establishment is organized and abundant. Majority of the clothing caters to girls but there is a nice selection for guys. Actually, I found a sweet Armani windbreaker there for an amazing price! Value for my trade-in was fair and speedy. The owner is doing a great job maintaining the high volume of walk-ins this location receives. The crew is helpful and encourages you to ask for assistance but aren't in your face about it. All in all I had a good experience at this Plato's closet location. Definitely recommending and returning for trades or purchases. Thanks 🙂

We went shopping here for my daughters birthday. The cashier didn't even tell my daughter happy birthday and acted like she hated her job. The only reason I'm leaving 2 stars is because my daughter found a few items we purchased that she loved and was oblivious to the attitude. To the owner Rebecca, train your employees better and give them a lesson in humility and respect because they definitely need it!!! So stuck up, you need to cater to everyone not just the "rich" crowd. If you want affordable clothes and a good deal then go to the warehouse on thrift 46 in Sanford. They will respect you and give you an amazing deal with *friendly* customer service.

Honestly, I would avoid this Plato’s Closet. The items seem higher than other Plato’s Closet stores and the workers seem like they hate working there. The first time I went I came 70mins before they closed and they said “Sorry, we can’t take your clothes an hour before we close” -it was 10mins before the hour. The second time I went because I was denied the first time, they didn’t take and clothes because they said it was too mature and wrinkly. They didn’t even go through it when I left because I folded the clothes a certain way and none of it was touched when I inspected the bag again. I ended up taking the clothes to 2 other Plato’s Closets, the one in Altamonte and the one on Colonial and I was able the get cash for the exchange. Go to those instead, this location was a waste of time.

Thank you for starting your response by calling me a troll. It's great when a seemingly professional business has to resort to name calling. I feel like you weren’t the one to process the exchange. Upon reading these other reviews on your store I can see that the service and lack of thorough work, like examining the contents of a bag, is a reoccurring practice.

Your location’s employees did not give me that option to check in things overnight, otherwise I would have taken that option. While I did indeed bring in 2 suitcases, one was large and the other was the size of a carry-on—about the size of a small trash bag, there was no Banana Republic clothes in there. I know because I do not shop there. Love the brand but never owned any pieces from them. There was a majority of Express clothes so maybe you confused the brands.

Yes, there were 2 unused bathrobes, but what towels are you referring to? No one in their right mind would try and exchange towels for cash. If you ran into this with other customer’s, I’m sorry, but I did not have any in the suitcase. I do understand not taking the bathrobes.

It’s great that you don’t accept collared shirts at your location, but the store on Colonial did. Which is where I took my clothes after. So yes, I guess I don’t understand your business model and how it differs from other locations. That is why I suggested going to other locations.

Additionally, please understand the term “trolling” is, it is when someone posts or comments online to deliberately upset others. My goal was not the upset others but to inform others of my experience and opinion, so they can see how your store compares to the others.

Thank you “Owner”, I hope your business continues to thrive with the level of service I received on both days I came in. Also please note, as a Loungefly collector no one will purchase the ones you have displayed for $200.

This is by far the nicest and cleanest Plato’s I’ve ever been to. It’s clear the employees look at the details of the items being sold to them for resale, as the items are typically in good condition and are not damaged/stained. I’m so glad to be close to this location!

Best location I’ve been to since moving here in 2018. Everything is so nicely organized, everyone is so friendly, the prices are reasonable, and I will definitely be coming back! Savanna was very kind and helpful as well.

Hands down nicest employees and great clothes and other options. I’ve gotten so many excellent pairs of shoes and my closet in full of stuff I grab when I’m there.

Awesome staff everyone was helpful and friendly especially the owner she was awesome she is very fair on priceing and helpful .we brought in a large amount of active wear they bought as much as they could we also purchased some clothing while we where there selling they had a great selection of clothing. Definitely check them out if your in need of active wear they have plenty of shorts all sizes and styles.
