We have purchased a two blankets and a jacket from the shop. They are beautiful, high quality, and we love them. When we went in the shop, everyone was very friendly. There is genuine weavings with reasonable price.
If you really want good weavings, it's worth to come here.
A big city like Santa Fe, genuine weavings are very expensive, and cheap ones are not genuine.

Beautiful, handmade (you get to stand there and watch) products in very nice facility. The information you receive about styles of weaving, looms, wool is amazing. If you're in either Santa Fe or Taos vacationing it is well-worth your time to visit this remarkable shop. I'm so happy they were able to reopen and share this unique place with visitors.

Surprised there are not more reviews, but their product is very good. Purchased my first pieces many, many years ago and they are still in perfect condition. Great quality and very good price. I have gone to many arts festivals and shops in Santa Fe so I know their prices are excellent!

Ortegas weaving shop is a must visit if you are in this region of the country. We were lucky enough to come upon it on our journey between Santa Fe and Taos, and highly recommend taking the 84 to the 503 and ultimately the 76 as it is a beautiful drive. Ortegas, weaving shop features, nine generations of experience And represents the highest quality. They offer shipping services, which is really helpful if you are on vacation. Highly recommended.

There are two different shops there. The weaving store is a wonderful place with a huge selection of rugs and a weaving studio to one side that let's you see how they make them. Highly recommended and they get the 4 stars. The other shop is a tourist type place with all of the stuff that they sell to tourists. The only thing I liked in there were some of the books written by local people that described history and culture in the upper Rio Grande valley. If I could split the stars, they would get 1 star.
