Great personal collection of just about everything Americana. Old movie posters, artifacts, classic cars, stuff animals etc. Owners are very nice and love to show off their collections of many yrs. Restaurant wasn't opened yet as the place just opened 4th Jul 2024. Couple more weeks they said. Great museum to stop and bring back memories.

This past weekend, my husband and I found ourselves on a mini-adventure just outside Kanab, where we stumbled upon a place that’s part museum, part gift shop, and the famous Smoke Wagon Saloon. It was like stepping into an old Western, but with a modern twist.

We ordered the Desert Dog and the Dirty Desert Dog—both all-beef hot dogs that were so plump that they popped when we bit into them, spilling warm, savory juices. They came nestled in soft pretzel buns, with a pile of crispy shoestring fries on the side. It felt like a simple meal, but there was something magical about the whole experience.

The saloon was a quirky mix of old-timey charm and modern comfort. Downstairs, they had a cozy bar, and upstairs, there was a dining area along with some outdoor seating. We even found a few games, like an electronic dartboard and a pool table (only 50 cents).

But the real gem was the museum. Depending on the door you pick, you’ll either walk through the saloon or the gift shop, which adds to the old-timey feel. Inside, the museum was full of interesting facts about presidents to entertainers, and every artifact was certified genuine, making the whole thing feel like a peek back in time.

What a great museum. Abe Lincoln's hat, Washington's signature, Marilyn Monroe letter and photo with Kennedy, replica Back to Future Car with all the gizmos, stuffed animals, several mint cars, Ruth baseball, lots of movie star stuff with signatures, etc. Not sure how they acquired all the stuff but it is quite the collection of things old and new.

We had such fun here. This is a truly eclectic collection of memorabilia-- artisan decanters, Disney, Hollywood, U.S. history (one of Abe Lincoln's stove pipe hats! A signed actor's card of John Wilkes Booth!), music history, several Shelbys (mustangs and the car Carroll designed), neons, a DeLorean, a model T, and both serious and funny taxidermy. And an olde west-themed bar! And more! The staff were kind and knowledgeable all around...It is fully worth your $8 entry fee. Young kids maybe wouldn't get as much out of it, but it was cool.

I lack of words to define how incredible was this place. We stopped by chance there as it was not in the plan initially. What we found was an incredibly well structured museum and a superb place to have some food and drinks. Although we are not american, the museum kept us eye-wide-opened during the whole tour, the muscle cars collection is incredible and Jason, Nicol and all the staff were so genuine and passionate about the collection. One of the best experiences in our trip! That is a must!

Stumbled on this place and was a real unexpected treasure of a find walked into what we just thought was a gift shop turned out to be a whole museum well worth a stop loads of interesting things. The pictures I posted are just a small sample of what to expect.

Wow... What a unique place. I've met the owners and are super nice folks. This place has it all, a bar, a restaurant a museum with all kinds of neat things to include Abe Lincolns hat!! The classic cars are awesome, they even have my favorite, Shelby Series 1 signed by Carol Shelby himself. What a great place. If you're in the area definitely check this place out... but hands off the Shelby!

The Museum is ONE OF A KIND! They have the back to the future car inside, must see!
Also the restaurant and bar is super yummy! Best BBQ in Kanab!
