Yesterday I came into the Deptford location to look around for my baby. I’m currently 8 months pregnant with my first baby and I will definitely be coming back in the future. I purchased more than 10-15 items and it was all below $65 and all the items were in new/VERY good condition. which I think is pretty good considering prices at any other store. Also once checking out I had a very nice women help me and she helped sign me up for Coupons and the rewards program! If your a new mom and your looking to find some stuff for your baby definitely stop here before spending a fortune somewhere else!

Good evening, I want to start by saying this place is full of racists European ladies/ girls. I did not have a good experience and they don’t throughly check the clothes you bring. Very judgmental when they should not be. I brought 7 bags of clothes in their “so-called” establishment. Let me just say this was a waste of my time especially because I don’t live right around the corner. The one blonde hair girl was snobby and entitled. I read body language and they were unprofessional. I know for a fact all my clothes were washed with little to no stain. However, they weren’t being truthful and said they can only offer me $14. Like be honest, the Nike jacket and other items were barely worn. I will be calling corporate. In conclusion, the place had so many items stained up, I wish I would’ve took a picture. The nerve of them!!!

Nice clean store with alot of clothing choices however I took a huge diaper box in of clothes. All clean no stains and and maybe a couple of pet hairs. Just maybe. I was sent home with the majority of the clothing I took in. Not to be belittling but when it is used clothing they can't expect to be like new from a store. Let's be for real here for a moment who buys anything from a used clothing store and doesn't take it home to be washed? Let alone I saw some 18 month summer shirts and u could tell they were suppose to be light colored however they were washed in with dark clothing so they were dingy. That is acceptable clothing to resale? Let's be fair once upon a child. Can't pick n chose based on whatever ur criteria maybe. Bc your criteria is not the same every time with every customer..

They are very rude and racist. Was standing in line to be checkout and this lady kept walking away not helping me. I was standing on one side to be checkout didn’t say anything to me and just started ringing someone else out, went to that line and when it was my turn she walked away and started doing something else. Just would not acknowledge that I was there.

This store is predatory in nature. They are also passive aggressive and unprofessional. They are inconsistent in what they offer, will say things are outdated but then you will find the exact item the turned you away for, in the store with stains on it. I believe they have preconceived ideas about what they thing you’re offering based on your skin color or socioeconomic status and they offer accordingly.

It is my opinion that this store’s business model is to prey on desperate parents and vulnerable populations to stock their shelves from what I saw and experienced. We recently brought in close to $1000 worth of items to sell, including clothes, shoes, Ugg boots, and high-end equipment. One of the strollers alone currently retails for $400. The bassinet retailed for about $250 as did the swing - all premium top of the line items and nicer than anything they had for sale there. After spending close to an hour putting everything together and waiting over 2 hours, we were offered less than $80 for everything they wanted to buy. If they really didn’t want our stuff, it would have been nice to be told this when we were carrying everything in. It feels like they do this on purpose in hopes that you take the money and cut your losses after spending nearly 1/2 day on the process. Completely unfair and predatory in my opinion. You’re better off selling on Facebook, finding a JBF sale, or just donating to Goodwill or a women’s shelter.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Sophia was especially personable and helpful when I came to sell my children's clothes. The store is clean and organized.

Lowering my Rating:
After shopping here on several occasions with genuinely positive experience. I’m lowering my rating.

1st I was being followed around the store by a not great “secret shopper”. As a Black person who doesn’t enjoy being profiled & followed around the store, this action really bothered me.

Skinny while lady with the pink fanny pack I didn’t appreciate it.

When I say there’s no amount of dressing nice and wearing name brand clothing and having an expensive stroller with a cute baby that will stop people from following a Black person.

There were no indications that I was there to steal because I’m not a shoplifter.

Also I signed up for the rewards and after many trips finally qualified for a $5 reward. Did the math (receipt posted below) the $5 wasn’t taken off. Which Leanne the thing your rewards program is just a ploy to sell my and other’s data.

Here are some ways to improve your customer service.

- Offer customer service- I was walking around the store looking for an item help would’ve helped me be in and out.

-Have someone stand by the door vs following actual paying customers.

- Create a membership to keep people accountable have people check in when they get into the store.

- make sure your rewards program actually works.

Why buy new clothes for these fast growing children. My son is growing at a rapid pace and shopping here makes me feel less overwhelmed with the cost of having an upper 90% size kiddo. They are very picky about the items they accept and don’t pay a ton but when I resell items I use the funds for credit and get an additional 10% off purchases. It’s also a great alternative to the junkyard for larger items like strollers etc. Prices for infants- toddler are normally $3.50-$7.50 per item. Onesies are $.50-$.75 there are also shoes and toys for sale too.
