Old Gold is a women's boutique selling new and mostly vintage clothes, shoes, accessories, jewelry, sunglasses, and gifts. The selections are beautifully curated. They have a nice mix of different clothing styles... modern, bohemian, mod, grunge, and street wear. Geared to the hip and trendy ... which I am not but most others are.

The vintage items are in great condition. It passed my look and touch tests. The shoe wall was eye catching. They have a loafers, ballerina flats, casual walking, and lots of boots... ankle, high heeled, cowboy. The leather shoes were all well conditioned, no dry cracking leather.

The greeting cards, jewelry, candies, gifts, and stickers are from local artists. Well of course since the shop is in the WAL Public Market building which stores art galleries and studios on the upper floors. The building is a turn of the century warehouse that was converted into living and retail spaces. The whole vibe of the market shops is local, independent small business collaboration. The WAL is on 1140 R Street in the Historic R Street District in midtown Sacramento.

Pretty good selection of blouses and sweaters. Nice staff. I like the socks they have. Jewelry is 24k gold fill about $60+ for hoop earrings. Not too much as far as larger sizes, but that's vintage.

I love Old Gold. It has an excellent selection of vintage clothing, and I was able to snag an adorable homecoming dress there! However, the price range isn’t accessible to everyone, which is something to be aware of. This isn’t a thrift store as much as it is a vintage clothing store. Still, a very good store. Would recommend!

Tried to call with an inquiry and the woman on the phone was extremely rude and unhelpful. After I ended the conversation with “thank you”, granted she didn’t help me at all, she said “k” and hung up. Very disagreeable interaction. I like this store a lot, but this has tainted my view.
