A1 bbq I got the lunch special for only $10. I got half a chicken and macaroni salad, which was absolutely scrumptious!

Then I grabbed a sandwich for later, a tuna sub on some really crazy bread just a really great place!

Wish I knew his name. Guy with the beard. Just down right nasty and disrespectful to customers.i was super hungry ready to eat. I turned around said absolutly not won't be giving money to that business. But again it is LBI this place is filled with people that think it's all about them..but anyways do yourself a favor and do better especially with customers you all need a reality check. Also food does not seem to be handled well at all would not surprise me if stuff is expired

This is a great butcher shop, meat market, and deli! The meat quality is fantastic, as is the price. Okie's staff is always friendly and polite when I am there. Living in Surf City on Summer weekends, I am usually there once or twice a weekend. They make phenomenal hoagies and sandwiches as well. Their house roast beef is fantastic, really first-class. Of course their sirloin ground beef is just the best you can get! I have also purchased their beef kabobs a few times and they usually contain strip, sirloin, or even filet meat! The close slaw, potato, and macaroni salad is also not to be overlooked. Additionally, they have a great selection of bakery-delivered fresh goods daily. Try the biscuits and bialys....exquisite. Okie's is a gem on Long Beach Island and I am fortunate to have it so close by!

Meat is ok, steaks are hit and miss. They use the same distributor as everyone else on the island. Meat is generally good on weekends but seems to sit during the week maybe a rotation issue - kids working.

Maybe I’m a bit spoiled living in the Midwest but none of the cuts I saw today in the cooler would pass as Prime. Everything was super lean, hardly any fat content. I bought two small NY strips which cost me about $37 and were just mediocre. Do yourself a favor and buy off the island somewhere else that has actual Prime meat.

Very disappointed by the quality of the meat. Went here today to pick up lamb loin. When I got home and opened the bag I was met with one of the most overwhelming and offensive smells I have ever experienced.

I am providing a picture below, just be glad we haven't invented smellivision yet.

Definitely major cleanliness issues. I have been going here for years and I feel like it's gotten worse.

They give you a healthy looking sandwich however, it's tainted. I have been there three times and the staff not once wore gloves as they handled your food. Raw cold cuts from the slicer into bare hands and then same kid cashes you out at the register. No gloves nor did they sanitize. The owner apologized after the second time and said it would not happen again but that did not hold up. It happened again. I will not go back. That to me is repulsive and disgusting!.
