The chicken fried steak was excellent! 5 stars for that alone. The chicken fingers were good, not spectacular but a solid win for my teenage daughter. Hamburger was good also. Fries were great! Bean soup with chili is amazing too.

It’s a bit of a dive as far as atmosphere but the service and food were great.

It was good. I live in TX so I am accustomed to exceptional Texmex. Although good, I do not agree with the review that brought me into this place; saying 'best Texmex I've ever had'. It was weird getting pinto beans and not refried beans. They were bland, but I got salsa and that had a good flavor/spice. Like I said, it was good, but quite far from the best I've ever had. (I'd like to invite that person to TX where I eat.) I felt like eating out and I think this was a good spot. Employees friendly.

Love the local cafe feel of this place. The service was very good. But the food definitely did not better my experience and left me curious on how they have such a high rating. I gave 3 stars for now because I always give hope to some places and will give at least one more try before my final review.

Pretty rough, we had bad experiences with everything from the welcoming to the food to the patrons in the restaurant. Dirty , no milk for breakfast No Dr Pepper? lol. Raton is very depressing and all the restaurants are the same. Sad state we live in.

We all ordered burgers: a BBQ burger, an oasis burger, and a trifecta (with cheese, bacon, and green chilies). All three came with delicious homemade fries. Everything was perfectly prepared.
Service was great -- very attentive. We all agreed that we'd eat here again!!

Great service, the breakfast menu was pretty much a regular menu with a Mexican flair.

Service was friendly but not attentive. Was never asked if food was good, never offered drink refill until we were done with our meal and we had to ask. Our Menus had hand written price change on them and we noticed my menu had different pricing then everyone else at our table. Big portion of food but flavor wise was just ok. Ordered the Stuffed Sopapilla Christmas style. The Green Chile was more like a gravy which was interesting but didn't enjoy the Red Chile it was not flavorful.

Updated in 2024: We had a burger special, the chicken and waffles and sopapillia. All were amazing!

We always try to stop here on the way to Colorado from Texas. This year we had the stuffed sopapillia with red and green chili, a club, blt and a burger. Everything was prepared perfectly. The service was great. We have also loved the chicken fried steak in the past. Their soups are also amazing.
