Given my challenging circumstances (poor credit, no money down, and having a small loan on an inoperable car I couldn’t trade in), I’m so grateful to have worked with Marcelo and Nielsen Nissan.

From the first phone call with him to leaving with keys to my beautiful new 2024 Nissan Sentra SR, I was met with genuine compassion and exceptional service/hospitality - from Marcelo, Tyler (the Finance/Sales Manager), and others. They were friendly, helpful, warm, and welcoming. Before salesmen, they’re good people.

When Marcelo said he was determined to help, he meant it. Within 2 days, the process was complete. Not only did I walk away with a car, but a reasonable monthly payment given my situation and an opportunity to significantly improve the trajectory of my credit.

Big thanks to Marcelo, Tyler, and Nielsen Nissan.

Thank you for making it happen.

I’ll be recommending you to many others.

Marcelis was the best salesman i have had the pleasure to work with. This dealer is extremely accommodating and is not pushy at all. They will only sell you what you want and need. Keep up the great customer service. We will be back!

Really wanted to make a deal with Neilsen but their lenders are rather predatory.
After being pre-approved at several other reputable dealers for around 7-8% even with no money down, Neilsen wants 5k down as well as 15% for 72 months, meaning their lenders simply want you to give then 4-5k as a fee just for them covering the full loan, bringing the sticker price up almost $10,000.
Quite malicious.
Sales person I dealt with also lied a lot.
I checked out a vehicle I was told “just came out of service and is ready to drive off today” when it actually had such severe issues that they ended up wholesaling the vehicle after I test drove it.
Depending on the Neilsen dealer you go to, you’re told they do different point inspections, some say less than 100, some say 200, which doesnt make sense since they share cars.
Finding out where a vehicle is is far too tedious as well and requires way too much coordination to ensure you can test drive all the vehicles you want at the same location.
Overall, what coulda been a pretty easy going experience getting into a vehicle ended up being a complete waste of time.
Id highly recommend you look elsewhere and always do the pre-approval before visiting a dealer so they don’t try and pressure you into a hard credit inquiry when they know the rate will be horrendous, like my sales person attempted to do until I finally just told him Im going elsewhere.

I let Neisen Nissan balance my wheels in September. I don’t drive my vehicle often, so when I drove it and felt a vibration on the highway I took it back to them to correct. The counter person told me they would have to charge me to look at it. I explained it was under 3000 miles since they balanced the wheels and tires, but he told me they have to charge me anyway. Not good customer service. Seems to me like they won’t stand behind their work so I’ll take my vehicles elsewhere from now on. (I also tried calling 5 times before going to the dealership for the problem in the first place. 🤦‍♂️)

Just purchased a 2024 Nissan Versa from this dealership. I want to thank every one that helped me, very pleased with my new car. Ben was awesome, very knowledgeable, and professional. Everyone was fantastic, I will definitely bring my car here for service and repairs. Once again thank you for all of your help!

JM&A platinum warranty - Giving us the run around.
My wife bought a 2019 Kia sorento EX from Nielson Nissan in 2022. They sold my wife a JM&A platinum warranty. Fast forward almost 3 years , at 67 000 miles , the oil pan suffered "catastrophic failure " leaked a lot of oil quickly and now the engine makes metalic rattling sounds. Kia have diagnosed the issue and JM&A 's assessor has been out to verify the oil pan failed. We received notice afterwards that JM&A now requires an engine tear down to verify KIAs diagnoses and KIA is asking us for the go ahead. This feels like they are trying to look for a reason not to cover this. This puts us in a risky position as we still owe $10 000 on this car and its lost half its value since we bought it. This isnt Nielson Nissans fault, however, they sold us this warranty which seems to have given us a false sense of security. My wife has been waiting for someone higher up at JM&A to contact her for over a week and our emails go unanswered. We feel that you should be aware of what happens to a customer when they buy one of these warranty products from you and that anyone reading this should be aware of what will happen should they have to make a claim. Do you perhaps have a more direct contact to someone who can actually resolve this issue ?
If they strip the engine and deny this claim , this leave us in deep water as we cant dispose of this car due to the amount owed nor park a non runnjng car at our co op.
Why would a warranty company spend thousands on labour for an engine tear down after being given the diagnoses from KIA if not doing so with the intent of finding a reason to deny.
I'm hoping that writing this here can open up a different line of communication with JM&A through a contact you as Nielson Nissan may have with them in an effort to get this resolved as us contacting them directly is proving to be a futile excersize. We've asked them to clarify this requirement and said we're heistiatnt to give the go ahead without reasonable assurance that theyll honour the claim and that the tear down is just a formality, They won't repsond to the email asking them for that and to clarify this requirement.
Our communication so far with them has left us feeling uneasy. This is something KIA said that if the car was still under factory warranty would have been covered without the need for a tear down.

Nielsen Nissan - one of the many greedy car dealerships with a disrespectful manager who agrees to one thing today and contradicts himself the very next day. They are there just to suck as much money as they can from their customers. "Minimal inventory" and the 2022/23 market scenario didn't help either. All their quotes were marked up well over the MSRP despite buying two brand new vehicles at once.

As a first time car buyer, be willing to walk away if you're not getting the deal you wanted. I'm sure you'll find a dealer that's willing to offer you the vehicle for MSRP at least.
