While the store has a great inventory and layout, my experience with the staff was a bit mixed. When I had a question about a feature on one of the guitars, the first staff member I spoke to seemed disinterested and unwilling to assist, which left a poor impression.

Thankfully, another staff member stepped in and was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They took the time to answer my questions thoroughly and ensured I felt comfortable exploring the thing I was curious about. Their professionalism and patience made a big difference in my overall experience.

Even though I didn’t make a purchase that day, I appreciate the efforts of the staff member who provided excellent service. I’d recommend this store for its selection and suggest more consistency in customer service across the team to ensure all visitors feel welcome.

1st time we went in, we had a great time with Phil, who helped us. And we were looking at a 6-String bass that was worth on the tag $749.99. We decided we would come back in a couple weeks and do a trade in. We came back and the bass we wanted went down by $100. So the total of that bass was now $649. We were met with someone different like 15 minutes after we walked in with an attitude. Cut us off before we could talk constantly and was insanely cocky. We came with our trade in, it was a 5 string. He told us it was worth 500$. At the last minute, we went to pay the difference for the 6-string and he was trying to scam us and charge us $500 instead of the $150 difference!! AND he changed the price tag at the LAST minute from $649 to $749!!! We took a photo of that price tag and we thought we were crazy. He was misleading us just for us to tap that card. The entire time he was disrespectful and cocky towards us! He never said hello, how are you. horrible customer service. We are never greeted. Phil was great before, but this older guy, absolutely disrespectful and you guys have lots our business unfortunately. With a scam like that, i’ll be letting others know to go to Clancys!! He connects with his customers and is very clear with no misunderstandings.

Ordered a used short scale Kramer Duke bass from here that was listed with the OHSC. They were initially very quick to reply to an inquiry but it all went downhill after they took my money. I was told they could ship next day but I paid on October 25th and did not receive it until November 10th, and it was shipped without the hard case. How do you take that long to ship and not even get it right? I've been emailing about it since and I never got a reply and still don't have the case. maybe they'll respond now...by the time i can escalate the PayPal case they will have had a month to fix this. How disorganized can you be? It's a short scale tweed bass case, it doesn't look like just any old case.

I felt at home from the moment I stepped into the entry when I was welcomed by a staff member who was immediately customer-focused but not pushy. These guys are musicians and respect their customers’ needs. And that was before I met Tim. His no-nonsense honesty struck me right away and sealed the deal. He has a team that gets it right every time. I highly recommend them to every musician needing equipment or information. Every customer who came in left with a smile. Enjoy the ride if you have to drive fifty miles to get there like I do! It is not easy operating a small business anywhere, and you, Stockton, are lucky to have them. They are that good. How many stars are infinite?

Every town should have one of these. They are kind of the counter to Guitar Center. Here you will find lots of lightly used guitars amplifiers PA system speaker systems for doing live entertainment studio gear parts and accessories. And yes strings. I went here to grab some strings that I didn't want to wait for price was similar to online didn't feel like I took it in the shorts just to get them here local. The people there have always been personable and cooperative when I visit I'm kind of one of those guys that goes in and shops the store looking for that one thing that I don't have or that I may need. But today only $7 strings.

They took 5 days to ship a small package. The label was created but the package was not given to USPS until 5 days later. I called on the 3rd and they told me USPS had not picked it up. I called again on the 5th day and they told me the package was dropped at USPS the day after the purchase which is a lie. Take responsibility for not shipping the item instead of bluntly lying.
