Great store! Everything is very clean, organized, and tidy. The owner is quite helpful, and will assist you in finding whatever items you came into the store to get. A large variety of various brands for all of the items as well. They have basically everything you would need in such a small and compact space. Highly recommend for getting halal meat or for desi groceries.

Wanted to try making a raan roast so reached out to Minar and they not only helped me get the right meat but also gave me good advice and tips on how to cook the raan. It was my first time making this dish so appreciated all the help I could. They trimmed the meat nicely, even scoured it for me so all I had to do was marinate it. It was a hit dish with all my guests. Can’t thank these guys enough.

I recently had my graduation and to celebrate, my father wanted to cook a spring lamb on charcoal. Finding a fresh spring lamb on short notice around New York/New Jersey was a challenge, but Minar Halal Meat and Groceries came through for us. Sohil was extremely helpful and had a fresh spring lamb ready for us. The staff quickly and expertly cut it up. A few days later, we cooked it, and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend Minar Halal for their excellent service and quality meat!

I love shopping at Minar! I discovered this place in 2022, the customer service is always great and consistent. I can safely give a review now because I am always, always happy with my experience and purchases. First of all, the meats are top quality, and let me tell you this, they customize your cuts for however you plan to prepare. For example, I asked for lamb, he asked how I plan to cook it, I said on the grill, he said ok I’ll leave a little fat on since it’s for the grill…that is just one of many experiences. Everyone I’ve recommended said they wish they knew about this place sooner. Great store to spend your money lol… I love it there!

To get super quality meat in the whole county per your desire and likings this is probably the best place to look for. The owner never compromises on quality and hygiene. He always welcome you with warmth and respect and make sure you walk out with your demand fulfilled. A definite recommendation for everyone.

we started buying meat and groceries from here a year or so ago. The quality of the meat, how they clean it, and customize it, is beyond excellent. The prices for both the halal meat and groceries are very reasonable.
The owner and his family are not only hard working but provide the best customer service.

Goat is really of a good quality from this place, also the owner cleans up fat properly. I have been buying here for 8 years and it’s always great .. adding my version of kebab to this review

The place is a shocking health violation. Butcher was not wearing gloves. The owner/butcher used his bear hands to butcher meat, bagging the meat and handling it back to me with his bloody hands. I observed that he did not wash his hands when he opened the fridge door, he did not don and take off new gloves between handling new meats.

Also, bonus points, there were a few dollar note books thrown in, next with with the lamb meat in the open counter freezer where you can see everything. That is crazy shocking!
No proper safe handling hygiene at all.

I was charged $10 for 1/2 pound of lamb meat.
I could get 1 pound of grass fed lamb meat at Whole foods for $10.

I came here to see what the local neighborhood could offer and support local shops, but this was more then a huge disappointment, I am sorry but as someone in the health care space, avoid this place at all cost, it has to be shut down by the health department or he needs to do a overhaul on safe and sanitary food handling practices.

i purchased the meat out of courtesy but do not even feel safe to cook it so i threw it away. I felt compel to write a review. Be warn. The other high reviews are probably fakes.
