If you’re on the hunt for the almond croissant that sets the bar—this is it. I wasn’t expecting to be blown away, but WOW. Even cold, the layers were still perfectly flaky and buttery, like it had just come out of the oven. The filling? Rich, balanced, not overly sweet—just the right amount of that almond paste magic. Generous sliced almonds on top, a dusting of powdered sugar, and little caramelized edges that gave it the perfect chew and crunch in every bite. It’s the kind of pastry that stops you mid-sentence and makes you say “wait… what is this?!”

If you love croissants, this one’s a game-changer. Run, don’t walk.

Absolutely love Mademoiselle Colette in Palo Alto! I had the Salmon Benedict — perfectly made, rich in flavor, and beautifully plated. The French toast was hands down one of the best I’ve had — soft, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness. I also tried a few of their pastries, and every single one was delightful. This place never makes you regret your choice. A perfect spot for a cozy and delicious French-inspired breakfast or brunch. Highly recommend!

French pastry / cafe / bistro that serves an excellent collection using local ingredients with authentic french methods and presentation. The establishment has a limiting but delectably displayed counter service so one cannot expect in-dining service though the dining area will extend from an outdoor street seating into the main counter area and towards the rear section. Service is prompt and efficient at the counter. The food would match a waited service as well given its solid and preaentable savory dishes with good plating and silverware. As mentioned the baked goods and pastries are the main draw which are ample in serving sizes. A good place for brunches with small groups. Expect queues of loyal clientelle during opening hours and weekend brunch times.

My favorite place to stop and get a croissant. There is a huge selection of pastries and baked goods and a beautiful outdoor patio with seating. It can get a little busy on weekends but it’s definitely worth waiting in line.

Everything we have ever gotten here has been absolutely delicious. Weekend mornings are really crowded so be ready to wait in a line. It goes quickly though! There is lovely outdoor seating! Be warned that they aren’t the friendliest about children. We are used to that here in the Bay Area though. Great for breakfast or just pastries. The pastries change regularly which keeps up coming back to try new things.

My recent visit of Mademoiselle Colette was an amazing experience. The pastry and dessert selection was out of this world, especially the croissant salmon benedict. The flaky, buttery croissant was the perfect base for the rich and flavorful smoked salmon, topped with a perfectly cooked egg and hollandaise sauce. It was truly délicieux! I couldn’t resist to only have one item for the dessert so I ordered a lot more: a Paris Brest, a slice of the hazelnut cake, and of course a croissant! Best decision!
Whether you're a local or just visiting, the delicious food and charming atmosphere will transport you straight to Paris. Je recommande fortement! Voilà.

Sadly I was very disappointed..we checked reviews and said this place sounds great.
We both got the avocado toast and honestly the bread was too hard to cut so you could eat it easier. The egg was boiled and literally sat on top of a corner of the bread. Its was almost tasteless which was so surprising. The salad is so tasteless, definitely skip it. Tiny portions for both.
The lemon tart was pretty good but the 10.50 price was hella steep.
Not worth it.
The coffee was very good.
My friend and I spent $87.00 with tip and the only thing good was the tart n my coffee.
Literally getting out of control for these prices...at least make it taste good.
I had to bring it all home due to the hard to cut bread and I just couldn't eat soggy lettuce with no taste.
I'm still baffled at the hard boiled egg on top that rolled off as you tried to eat it. Lol I regret going and giving them 87.00 for just 2 people.

Definitely, five stars. Wonderful service and the food is amazing! We had the croque madame and my first thought was, wow better than Paris. They also, very sweetly, gifted my mom a Raspberry Macaroon for her birthday 💕💕which was delicious!
