Cute little park with some fun history. It use to be a swimming hole back in its hay day, but they took out the dam back in the 80s.

Before this place was a park this was a catch reservoir to supply residential water for the cabins and properties adjacent to this place. Memories of me and my family back in late 1960s we used to swim in this catch reservoir and family picnics. a couple miles from this location was a cabin my father was building. It was a awesome place. Other people from the community would access this place good neighbors good friends.

It is a nice little mountain park with a seasonal stream running through it. I saw the Inyan Kin Band perform here, live, during Covid. A great band with a Grateful Dead influence. They have their own songs and covered Cream, and The Doors as well as several other bands. They played all day from dusk to dawn. This might have been one of their stops because this is the area where Jerry Garcia, from the Grateful Dead, lost his finger.

Beautiful little park featuring a soda machine with $1 Sodas & a community library in the bus stop. The park has benches, a mural, picnic tables, a BBQ grill, two play structures for older and younger kids, a basketball court with nice rubber tiles, and a shallow creek running right through the middle of it all. It could use a few things, but it is owned & run by the local non profit (Lompico Community Center) that is short on funding. Donations can be made by putting them into the locked mailbox across the street from the bus stop with the LCC logo.
