Stellar Italian spot! Everything was on point and blew our minds. Sandwiches, meatballs, rice balls, focaccia breads, sauce... all were perfect and we're already planning our next stop. On top of the great food is the friendly staff who made everything that much better! Oh and if they have the tiramisu cake, don't hesitate, just get it!

We stopped by after a gymnastics meet in Sparta. It’s a small cute spot and looks very traditional. Ordered the steak or brisket sandwich, fig focaccia, Italian sub and pesto panini.
Steak sandwich was good (3.5/5) could have used more meat, fig focaccia was top notch (5/5), panini was delicious (5/5) and Italian was typical Italian (4.5/5).
The gentleman at the counter was very friendly and took care of our order pretty quick.
A must visit spot if u r in town craving for legit sandwiches.
$46 for all the 4 items is not bad and def a bang for my buck. Enjoy 🇮🇹❤️⭐️

I only wish I took photos before writing this review. I was in town for work for the day and decided to try this place. What a great spot. Pricing was more than fair. The quality was exceptional. The flavor profiles were outstanding. It seems to be a family owned and operated business and you can tell they try to pour their heart into their food. They even came out to the parking lot when they realized they forgot a portion of my order, delivered it with a smile, and apologized immensely. If I am ever down here from New York, I will definitely be stopping again to try many other offerings on their menu. I scored some great bread and focaccia to take home to my mother. If you’re thinking about this place DO IT your tastebuds will thank you.

I don’t like to give bad reviews but I just wanted to review what we ate. First of all Google said it was a restaurant and it’s just basically a deli with two tables in front. The people were very nice and friendly. The bread looked really fresh. There were not many choices for drinks - not even regular bottled water. Mostly sparkling waters which I know is an Italian thing but I think they were like four dollars each because I spent $38 on one sandwich one Panini two drinks and one piece of focaccia bread.
My daughter is picky so the Americano had to be modified so I can’t really review that but I had the mozzarella and tomato Panini and I just felt like it didn’t have any flavor and the tomatoes were definitely too thick - unfortunately I had to ask for salt to see if I could get some more flavor but perhaps if the tomatoes were sliced thinner and there was more balsamic glaze? Sorry. Just thought others might need to be aware.
- thank you for your response below- I was referring to Google it says it’s a restaurant on Google and dine in but I was just saying it’s not exactly a restaurant but everybody was very friendly and by the way I heated up the focaccia in my air fryer today and it was amazing - yummy!

The amount of love that goes into this food is second to none! Almost everything is homemade, including the breads, meats, and cheese. The focaccia, sandwiches, and soups are just next level, and they constantly have new weekly specials that are the best of the best. La Vita is without a doubt a whole different category from the usual Jersey Italian shops. This is real fresh cooked old world Italian, not the usual average pizza joint food. Stop in and check it out, you won't be disappointed.

My wife, son, and I found this place while in Jefferson. We were looking for an Italian deli to grab an Italian panino or sandwich and located La Vita Italian Specialities. What a find! It brought us back to old school Arthur Avenue or Corona deli. The bread is fresh, focaccia was out of this world, and the service great. Can’t wait to go back.

I’m so happy I found this place! My boyfriend and I each got a sandwich, meatballs, rice balls & fresh mozz. Everything was beyond amazing and so fresh. The girl behind the counter was super helpful giving recommendations & everyone was so friendly! We will definitely be back!

Ordered meatball parm sub and chicken sub with broccoli Rabe, ect. This was the best chicken sub
I have had in a long time since I moved here 37 years ago.In my opinion they are best in Sussex County. My wife had the meatball sub and was equally impressed.
