Upon making our reservation I asked the owner what time check in was. He asked when we would like to check in & I told him at noon, which he stated would be fine, Upon our arrival, the room air conditioner was already on (this never happens), & the room was a much appreciated cool & pleasant 68 degrees. It was 104 outside! The room & all of its amenities were in excellent shape! There was a microwave & small fridge, (which wasn't plugged in). The mattress was a bit hard for my taste, even though I do enjoy a firm one. The owner was pleasant with a kind greeting each time was ran across him. The price was the best we could find for a Sunday night for 2 with a king bed, it was $65. No ice machine. I would stay here again. The location is great!

Room smells good and clean, all appliances are in working order. The staff is friendly and communicates well. the grounds are well maintained with nice landscaping. Despite being right on highway 41 The Kings Rest is quite and feels safe.

Decent place if you need somewhere to crash for the night. The bed spread was ripped or burned not sure which. The place was a bit old and dated. It was around 115 a night plus 20 dollar deposit.I didnt see any bed bugs or cockroaches.

Clean, comfortable motel that was perfect for my short visit to the area. Manager was extremely personable and professional. I will stay here again the next time I need to be in this area. Great bed and shower. Perfect desk and chair for a few hours of laptop work. I stayed in room #101.

The room was better than expected for the price. After several days of camping the shower was heavenly. The unfriendly clerk made the check in experience less than desirable. I would definitely recommend checking in before dark if you're a woman traveling alone.

On the plus side - the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. I did have to buy my own shampoo, soap, bath towel, and light bulb (the towel they provided was so thin it was useless, bottle of shampoo and soap were so tiny it wasn't nearly enough, and the lighting was so dim, I couldn't read). My biggest complaint was that they were not honest about their pricing. They claimed to take AAA, but when I tried to present my card, I was told that the discount was already included in the price quoted on Trip Advisor. They also charged more than the price I was quoted - and they took payment upfront on my credit card (without telling me) rather than waiting until I had completed my stay. They didn't provide any invoice even though I requested one.

Decent place to stay when you are in an area that there’s not much around. The service is great and the room has a fridge, microwave and wifi.

Very pleasant, clean rooms, one of which had nothing inside it which was odd.|Close enough to fast food joints, we stayed here on route to the General Sherman tree in the national Forrest park. |Wifi didn't work and the TV was dated but it was cheap so no complaints. |Thanks.
