Jack's Grocery has a wonderful selection of nearly any item you may need. Beautiful clean, fresh, crisp produce. Excellent selection of fresh meat. Wonderful deli with a line waiting for service. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! We actually found a great but on Hawaiian 10% Kona Coffee for a better price than we can buy in Hawaii! This place is a must! They know all the happs here and they are super cool! I went into the Ice Cave to get my fruit and veggies! The parking in front is easy and safe.

So good! The service and the sandwich were top notch!
I was camping at Heise and nothing in the cooler looked good so I braved the crowds and drove into Julian on a Sunday. I had never been to Jack’s but saw the sign while driving around the back. There was plenty of parking behind the store and also a back entrance to avoid the Main Street foot traffic.

I ordered off the digital screen menu, found a fizzy beverage and went to the counter to pay for my provisions. The man behind the counter whom I assume was Jack, I could be wrong, was fun and funny and even let me pet his dog, Daisy.

After I paid, my sandwich was done being prepared so I picked it up and headed for the car. I had to stop and rest a couple of times on the way to the car, the sandwich was so big. What a treat! The bread, meat and veggies were so fresh! The sandwich was less than $15, easily feeds 2 people, and comes with chips. Who doesn’t love chips? The sandwich also comes with so many fresh veggies, you can even take your vegetarian friend there for a sooper yummie veggie sandwich.

Nice place with a surprising availability of products, considering how small it is. That said, this is the only grocery store in the town. Prices were still fair.

It also looks like they have a deli in the back part as well. Aside from that, it's what you would expect from a grocery store. There's a convenience store across the street that sells similar packaged goods, but as far as grocery, they are the only game in town.

Always excellent meats and some things that you can't get anywhere else on the mountain. Been told Sam is new owner. Will miss Ray but it's the same family and nothing much has changed.

Is this place for real? I understand this is a small town but this is NOT even close to being a grocery store. Unfortunately this is the only grocery store in town. There's a tiny variety of liquor, a small restaurant and a few snacks. I'm not sure if I would even buy anything out of the store, it looks disgusting and rundown. And the cashier was no help at all.

Do not shop here for resupply. They are crazy expensive. There is a grocery store (Julian Market and Deli) at the corner that is much more affordable. And Two Foot Adventures has great backpacking meals. Even the liquor store has snacks cheaper than Jack's Grocery. This is price gouging here

We stayed at the nearby RV Resort KQ Ranch and went to the store and I loved it. Cute store with narrow aisles, they have a lot of food to choose from. I came for a 12 pack of soda, it was in the walk-in fridge. How cool is that? Love the old school vibe with all the convenience of a new store. Did I mention how charming Julian is? We're from Connecticut and I was living this store. A must stop at spot ?
