I’d stay here again. The room was clean and the furnishings adequate. It was easy to get to the hotel from the main road.

I’d have taken photos of the bed but I’d already slept in it and y’all don’t want to see an untidy bed, haha. The pillows and mattress are very comfortable and the sheets are very clean.

Breakfast was hot and delicious! Very tasty.

There’s a Tractor Supply Company next door which I found to be very convenient as I could get some supplies for my road trip.

Just be aware the red EXIT emergency signs are near foot level. It’s an unusual setup but I can understand this as smoke rises in a fire. However items can easily block the signage as I noted in the common breakfast area. I didn’t take a photo of the child seats obscuring the signage as other patrons were nearby and I didn’t want to creep them out. Just note where the exits are in case you need them.

Property felt safe. We were in a new car and didn’t think about not having an ice scraper. Property had a cute basket with scrapers, brushes and towels to clean windshields to borrow. Cute selection of coloring sheets for children. Have never seen this but was a nice touch.

The sweet lady on evenings at the front desk 4/2/2025 is what made this stay so great. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable. But the clerk on duty was so kind and helpful to me and that’s something you rarely see anymore. Thank you!

We were meet by the local deer.
Once inside the motel a very friendly young g lady greeted us and explained tot he children that the deer were hand fed by some.
Checking quick and easy.
Beds comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was outstanding! Would definitely return in the future

The place is showing its age. There were only two of four room lights that worked in the pool area. The hot tub in there had only 1 jet out of 9 that had any water flow with bubbles. The breakfast was ok, no complaints there. The room carpet and doors showed their age also. It was close to the Interstate and given the truckers noise, I'd recommend getting a room anywhere but the East side.

Everything about this hotel was very nice. I had a pleasant stay.

The bad...

When I called the IHG reservations phone number the man quoted two rooms for one night for $486.

He said it was the last two rooms. I went ahead and booked online for half of that price. I think he was trying to scam me.

This Holiday Inn Express is top notch. It’s in a really good part of town. Very clean, plenty of towels as usual. Lots of snacks and drinks available to put on the room charge. Breakfast the usual awesome eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, and plenty of their awesome cinnamon rolls.

The evening staff here was unbelievably kind, and was as accommodating as they could be as I booked the wrong dates. The room was clean and the TV had a wide range of children’s channels with bluey. 10/10. Nothing better than some kindness at the end of a long day driving with kids. The bed also had a mesh protector and helped me feel safer about bed bugs as I have a lot of anxiety about that while travelling.
