Went for lunch, ordered a personal pan pizza and a side salad. Side salad was delicious. The ranch was scrumptious. But the pizza sauce, tasted like cheap spaghetti sauce ? i was so sad. It would've been so good with a better sauce. That was my first time going there. Next time I go, I'm going to stay away from the pizza, and try a burger instead.

Worst sandwich EVER.
I ordered an Italian sub. I figured everyone knows how to make a flipping sandwich.
I got the worst sandwich I have ever bought.
Mushy, soggy bread on what was obviously a microwaved sandwich.
No lettuce or anything on it.
I wouldn't pay $3.00 for this. Much less $8.99
Now I know why I rarely see anyone eating here.
Save your money.

We went there on Friday for lunch and had the rudest waitress ever! She just dropped the menus on our table and walked away and finally came back 15 minutes later asking what da have? We asked for drinks and a couple burgers and that could she please wipe off the table because it was wet from the prior customers. She made a face and said "when I have a chance I'll be back" , you'd think we'd had asked for a kidney! She finally came back with a soaking wet towel which only made it worse then we never saw her again. Someone else dropped off our food which was mediocre at best and no one ever came back to ask us if we needed anything else like more drinks or desert. Mind you this was lunchtime and the place was NOT busy and our waitress was still there only working the other side. Needless to say she receive zero for a tip but here's one for her. Maybe smile and be nice once in a while or find another job that you enjoy because customers don't want to see or deal with a miserable person. We'll never go back and will now eat at the Hiwasse Dinner across the street from now on where they're very nice and friendly and have MUCH better food there!

Just stumbled upon this place to get a drink and boy am I glad I did! Don't be fooled by the outside, inside is an amazing little diner with one of the best burgers I've yet to have in NWA. I got the hangover burger and it was outstanding! American cheese, bacon, and an egg on a butter grilled bun with all the fixins. I also had a piece of their banana crumble cake and...wow. The employees were all super friendly and the interior is very quaint. They even have a huge outdoor covered patio/picnic area (it was too hot to sit out there the day I went). I love finding these local spots right in plain sight. I will definitely be back whenever I'm anywhere near Hiwasse!

I have been a little reluctant to post a review on this hidden treasure because it seems like once people hear about a great place, it becomes too popular and overcrowded.
It's important to differentiate The Hiawasse Store from the Hiawasse Diner. They are completely different places, both in service and food.
Hiawasse Store has great homemade hamburgers and large servings of food. The employees are all friendly and my wife and I have never had a bad experience there. Our favorite server, I believe her name is Kayla, is super helpful and goes above and beyond.
This is a down to earth hamburger/gas station with live music on the patio on specific nights.
I highly recommend the Thursday meatloaf special and any burger with fried green tomatoes and onion thangs.

Employees are very friendly they make you feel welcome and that they appreciate your business. I had a problem with the gas pump and the cashier offered to come out from behind the register out to the pump to see if she could help me with the card reader. I've never been to a gas station where they have offered to do that come out to the pump and help me I have been here a few times their food is good And they do a great business I would recommend this establishment you can get gas, food, snacks or a quick drink

Worst cafe food of any town and over priced. Chicken sandwich, 5 fried green tomatoes and a drink 18$! Save your self 20$ and go somewhere else.

The new owners should spend some money to make this gas station functional. Half the pumps don’t work, and the other half pump at the speed of molasses. Would not recommend for anything but the nice people and good food inside. Fantastic staff, most of them are like family. Great service.
