As a coffee nut, I’m a huge snob about everything from drip coffee to the quality of espresso roasts and lattes, things like that. I said what I said. 😊 I’ve driven by Halo Roasters many times over the years and intended to stop there, but never did until this morning. Today, I was in the area and did so with intention, and I’m so thrilled I did.

This is kind of the prototype for a happy coffeehouse vibe in my opinion: Plants by the window, some of them for sale, delicious latte options that are creative and fresh (some of them healthier), options for different dietary accommodations, busy at 12:30 PM on a Saturday, but everyone is friendly. Coffee is delightful and fresh and the staff is eclectic and pleasant. I had a basic egg and cheese sandwich on sourdough bread, and it was warm and cooked well.

Please open a Halo in Maplewood! 🙏🏽

I was looking for a nice, cozy coffee shop with some yummy food to relax in while I do some work and this place was exactly what I needed. The team at the counter are very kind and the halo avocado toast that I had was PHENOMENAL. I cannot wait to go back for that halo toast!!!!

Gave this a try due to high reviews…Coffee was pretty good but the “get pressed” panini was truly terrible. Chicken was brown & boiled rather than grilled and the garlic aioli was non existent. I took 2 bites and could not finish it. Would go back to try another seasonal drink.

They carry gluten-free bread! You can get a delicious ham egg and cheese honey ham that is on your gluten-free bread! I had a delicious lavender honey latte today it was amazing! They even make the design in your coffee mug if you're staying to eat there : ) today there were hearts in our mugs! The girls that work there are absolutely wonderful and helpful and patient! And you get a different mug every time you go. Such a wonderful sweet time with my friend and her two toddlers who, it just so happens, the staff know by name now since they go there so often : ).

This place is a legit. If you live in the area and looking for great quality drip coffee, this is the spot. And lots of room to sit and get some work done. I had to go but next time I’ll bring a laptop!

My favorite coffee shop in the Garden State! It's the only coffee shop that I never leave without double fisting coffees. There are always so many creative lattes, and I can't choose just one! I always make sure that I get there on the early side so I have a better chance of grabbing a croissant -they are some of my favorites! The atmosphere is such a vibe, too. I absolutely love the counter with the sideways door and color changing lights- so unique! Many local businesses also sell some of their products inside, too which I love to see. I always love recommending Halo Roasters to others looking for new coffee spots, because I know they won't be disappointed! There's something for everyone.

This is what a great business is all about. Coffee is delicious, their matcha is even better. The breakfast is superb, not to mention all of the options they have for a coffee shop of their size.
What really tops off my review was the customer service I experienced yesterday. I ran into an issue with a batch of coffee beans I purchased a few days ago. When I came back to explain my problem, the general manager clearly identified the issue I was having and made it right with a fresh bag of coffee grounds on the house.
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a new hangout in the morning.

A fun and funky coffee shop full of plants and bright colors, Halo Roasters' appeal extends beyond its ambiance. The menu offers quite a bit of variety. Regular selections include basic coffees, espresso drinks, chai drinks, and teas (as well as sandwiches, bowls, and breakfast foods) plus a dozen or so seasonal drinks.

My wife and I went with a lavender latte and a Brynne brulee (with caramel and brown sugar), respectively, and we were not disappointed. Drinks were served up fairly quickly, and they were smooth and invigorating. The next time I'm up north, I will definitely keep Halo Roasters in mind.
