Best thrift store in town. The $5/bag clothing sale was wonderful. Had fun with my daughter today looking at clothes. We found great stuff! She’s super excited to wear them all. The staff is kind too 🙂 Thanks! We will be back!

I’m deeply disappointed with staff and management going after a quick buck by googling and pricing things in front of customers, I was simply trying to buy a 2 dollar item (a broken speaker) and watched the manager try to price it at retail (from 12 years ago) and after being called out then manger got mad grabbing the item from the customer’s hands and wouldn’t allow the item for sale. He then proceeded to call the customer rude for questioning if it was in the policy while checking out the rest of the items. This is truly disappointing for someone with a Habit House to be treated like a common criminal for a simple DIY project

Despite the stated hours and Goofle’s telling me it is open, an ad-hoc handwritten sign on the front door says closed until November 2. Store was covered with crime-scene tape too. This place needs to do a better job than that of letting people (especially non-locals) know not to waste time driving there.

Started out to be my go-to spot for treasures and other odds and ends. I'd donate and walk in to see what else I could find. Lately, it's a little overly loaded and hard to go through. I really hope they get help in organizing it all. I think it's a great little place to support.

Tried to donate some items today, but was turned down as there were several books in donation. I was told by the kid at the door they could not accept nooks because they didn’t sell. However they were the very same books that I had purchased there just last week. Found this to be rather ironic!

I made a donation for pickup and the employee who came to pick up the item was extremely rude with me over the phone and hung up on me while I was mid sentence 3 times. Very disappointed with my experience.

Unfortunately for many thrift store enthusiasts of the enchanted circle, the identity crisis of the Southside Re-Store remains ambiguous at best. Masquerading as a used goods/second hand store for charity, yet the operating style seems more akin to some luxury estate sales or high end consignment shops. Thus perhaps unintentionally besmirching even alienating some of the economy / working class of the Taos region, who most rely on such resources to economically and affordably furnish our homes.
Price gouging and profiteering in the guise of charity. Digressing to the epitome of pretension, and a farce in humanitarian philanthropy. Ethically repugnant and morally bankrupt.
The corrupt appraisal of freely donated, second hand, (used!) items being compared to online market values or even leveraging provenance of antiquity, to be inappropriately overpriced thus resold in a manner inconsistent with the proprietor's mission statement. Confusingly incomparable with the paradigm and format of it's parent northside location in value. Assessments as well as bargaining flexibility seem to be night and day. While the south side snidely singing a clamorous yet thin defence of "all being for charitable proceeds."
A dilemma of inconsistency as well, for there are million dollar a plate fundraiser dinners to benefact many noble causes.
Though surely not provided as an offerings on the value menus of economy restaurants which may champion various charitable institutions or philanthropic foundations to contribute proceeds to!

Great stuff! Clothes and furniture good $. Shoes and most kitchen Ware over priced as per their pre use. Excellent staff!!!
