Lots of cool stuff. Decently priced. Was able to lower a price on an item. Staff are friendly. I found some things. I recommend. Parking is plentiful. Can’t go wrong.

If it “looks” valuable, is priced, and you try to buy it, the heavy native lady with glasses will have a manager reprice it. While waiting for manager lady looked over item like she wanted it, Badly. What a sour experience.

Pricing varies:. For each item there is a pre set dollar figure range, within that range it is the employees discretion in how the item is priced.

Let's say (hypothetically) women's hoodies range from 6.99 -29.99, somewhere in that range you will find the price. Sometimes you see a really sweet deal other times not so much. This is pretty standard at most thrift stores.

I like the people here, especially Angela(or Angie if your her friend)she has a warm and friendly customer first attitude and I really appreciated that. Thanks for making my shopping trip an enjoyable one Angela!

I am an avid thrifter and have thrifted around the world.

Why I don’t like the goodwills of Anchorage? Because they take things they buy as salvage from target and try to cover up the real price and sell it back to you full price if not higher.

I have noticed also a substantial increase in pricing. However, people are making the same they did pre pandemic. Goodwill is a for profit that takes other goods for free and then sells it for a 100% mark up if not more. A thrift store is a store for those that want to reuse or want to save money. How can people save money if you continue to raise the price to make.

I went to buy a SHEIN item. I looked it up online it was only $6. When I got to the register they wanted $6. Used items should never be full price

Are you really saving money when you can buy the items at the store for the same price at target? Or even cheaper on Amazon?

Do better.

I was at the Goodwill today Thursday September 8, 2022.

I love bargain shopping, I'm an thrifter and have travel to many States, looking for that special bargain, I have also thrifted in Mexico. The goodwills of Anchorage, Alaska is such a disappointment! They have so many things they buy as salvage from other retail stores, that they sell it back to you, at a ridiculous over price!

Goodwill supposed to be a non profit organization, that gets grands and tax break from the government!
How has this organization has gotten away with the crimes of being a for profit organization, that is taking other people's donations for free and then sells it for a 100% mark up if not more. A thrift store is for people that wants to save money. How could people save money if you continue to raise the price to make a big profit.

As a human right worker, and having my own organization. I know for a fact no matter what excuses, or lies the Goodwill executive will say.
The Goodwill of Anchorage, Alaska is a total organization based on profit, not on helping people!
My mission while in Alaska is to have Goodwill investigated, on fraud against the people.
I took pictures of donation drop off area, and it was full of really nice things. However, in the store it was full of a lot of over priced old things?
Is Goodwill doing the same thing Salvation was doing, sending all of the good things to the Philippines to sale for profit and keeping it as a secret, that's what I'm getting ready to investigated!

Moreover, they have a brown people problem, at the jewelry counter, the workers totally ignored me as if I wasn't even standing there.
I ask the price of two face masks I collected them, she said they are 29.99 each, I made her a offer of 15 dollar each, her and the assistant manager refused the offer?
I never had that happen to me before ?
The nerve to have security and this sign in front of the store. I believe that the real thieves are the Goodwill corporation, what about putting them in jail!
