I came in on a weekend with one of my family members. We are not the target demographic for the clothing in this store, so we went around looking at the jewelry and other items around the store. When we entered the lady at the front didn’t even greet us. I thought that she might have been busy on her computer and phone she was on. The whole time we were in the store she didn’t look at us or speak to us. Later a couple of thin white women walked in and her behavior completely changed. She greeted them in a friendly manner and was pleasant. My family member wasn’t having it and we left immediately. It’s 2024 I expect better. Everyone’s money is the same color and size.

TLDR: If you aren’t white and skinny this place probably isn’t for you.

Lots of great clothes, my wife and I used to both shop here but it seems like they stopped carrying men’s clothes. They also have a nice little selection of houseplants and home goods. I’d definitely check it out if you like Madewell or are shopping for someone who does.
