Ok I don't understand why this place is called a pawn shop because I've taken items good items in and have been told either they have no money or their downsizing I mean really unless u take gold or guns in their not going to pawn anything I think it's a big joke personally!

Update February 2024: A gem in Raton! Outstanding owner and personal service. Best for firearms/antiques/ammunition in northern New Mexico. Highly recommended! 👍👍👍

Update July 2023: Firearms inventory continues to increase ... nice selection of new and used in all categories. Still can get busy and be understaffed. Over the past 8 years I have had to sell many of my firearms and Doug & his staff have always been fair with me. Except for this last time. It was the first time that I felt that I was not given a fair price for the almost new-in-the-box firearm. I needed the cash so had to accept.

Update 2022: Doug is still there … everyone else is new staff. Firearms inventory has been greatly increased … nice. Facility is well run and friendly. Just don’t go on Friday’s … it gets very busy and can be understaffed. Patience is a virtue. Highly recommended. 👍

Now that they have a new manager, Lee, running the shop, prices have dropped to reasonable and the quanity of firearms, both new and used is good, best i have seen in town for a few years!
As a former Gunshop owner in Raton, it nice to see a gunshop back in town.

I love this place. They always have interesting things for sale and are very reasonable when you need to pawn your passions. I really enjoy the staff as they always great you like you are one of the family. Always recommend going there for great deals or when you need to pawn something for a little extra cash, they are always willing to work you on pretty much anything.

First off mad love for the owners they both are probably two of the nicest people you could ever meet and also Daniel awesome guy knows his stuff about those guns!! But I think they need to find better qualified workers and ones that ain't judgemental also unless you have 18k gold or a nice gun it's basically pointless to try and take anything in there to pawn I mean where are the baseball n football cards or stuff like that nature I don't know I just don't get it I mean it's gotta be real exspensive I mean I'm not trying to keep anybody out of there that's just my experience going in there . HONESTY IS MY ONLY EXCUSE!!!
