A Longtime Favorite with an Unforgettable Atmosphere

We have been visiting this hot springs for years, and it truly holds a special place in our hearts. Over time, our experiences have ranged from absolutely magical to just average, but more often than not, this place delivers a serene and rejuvenating retreat. Our most recent visit during Spring Break 2025 was exceptional—one of the best we’ve had in a long time.

A big part of what makes this place so special is the staff. The vast majority of the team members are warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure guests have a wonderful time. Their kindness and hospitality add to the overall peaceful ambiance, and we always appreciate how they go out of their way to enhance the experience.

That said, we did have a minor interaction with a staff member named Glenn that was a little less than ideal. While staying in RV space #8—right next to his home trailer—we couldn’t help but notice his preoccupation with rule enforcement, which at times felt unnecessary. While we understand the importance of guidelines, his approach was more focused on correction than hospitality. Additionally, we were treated to the less-than-appetizing sound of him loudly clearing his throat just a few feet from where we were enjoying breakfast. Not a deal-breaker, but not exactly the ambiance we were hoping for.

That aside, we love this place and will continue to return. The natural beauty, healing waters, and overall atmosphere keep us coming back, and we look forward to many more visits in the future.

Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil and restorative getaway!

This place is great! The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and clean.
The site itself is remote, so there is little road noise and no light pollution to worry about.
The pools are clean and well-maintained, and offer a great range of temperatures.

Looking up at the (dark sky) stars with my wife, while sitting in secluded and completely quiet hot springs. Yeah, I suppose it was bucket list worthy! Quaint; neat place with a lot of interesting history. Glad we stopped here after visiting the City of Rocks.

It is an absolutely wonderful hot spring complex with rustic cabins, tent camping, and RV hook ups. There are private soaks (included for all overnight guests), clothing required and clothing optional sections.

Not a luxury resort but a luxiourious experience nonetheless.

Will definitely be back!

Secluded and clean hot springs under beautiful New Mexico sky's. It was quiet and have several hot springs pools to relax in. The higher you go, the hotter the pools get. Nothing like a lovely day hanging with the lizards and butterflies 🦋 🦎 Truly a magical place!

We enjoyed our couple of days at Faywood Hot Springs. We stayed at the clothing required RV campground. (There were other parts that were clothing optional.) We had a pull through site, which was nice, as we were towing a car. The site could use a little leveling, as it was dirt, and the hookups were quite aways from the motorhome. So you'll need extra sewer hoses. The drive through the park could use a little trimming as well for the larger rigs to get thru, as we were scraping brush branches most of the way through.
As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a very rustic place. Very rustic...
That being said... Let's talk about the hot springs.
They were wonderful, and so relaxing. The temps ranged from 100-106 in the two pools that we spent most of the two days in. Pools were drained and cleaned while we were there, and staff came and took temperatures more than a couple of times.
They have two public clothing required and a couple public clothing optional hot spring pools that are available free for overnight stayers. There are a few private pools to rent if you'd like that option.
Staff was very pleasant, and very friendly.
So, will we back next year? Yes!

Cute little place. Stayed in a cabin and it was an older style but homey. Enjoyed the springs as well but it is very remote. Silver city is the closest bigger town. They had some good city stuff to do
