I've been going to Farmington Dental for years and have never had a negative experience. I only write this review now because I had a particularly helpful visit. While there for a routine cleaning, I got to talking with Kristin about the microbiology classes I teach. She made some observations that inspired me to approach the latter half of the semester differently, and it was a super helpful change!

I guess all that is to say that the workers are competent...but also pleasant and helpful. 😛

Yikes! Avoid this place! Not only was this a huge pain to deal with but they caused me physical pain while doing the dental work & permanent huge chuck of my gum damaged.

I went in to have a tooth extracted & a filling done and boy was I sure not happy afterwards.

The dentist, a young woman, told me that the tooth extraction and filling would be done at the same time. She stated the process would be smooth and while it would take part of the day; wrong!

When she went to extract the tooth she completely butchered my gum line. She was extremely aggressive removing the tooth and in the process she did some major permanent damage to my gum line. This isn’t a tooth in the back it was the second tooth on the left in the front so you can see the damage from the work she did. I mean she really cut me open good and I had to be placed on antibiotics and had to be extremely careful for two weeks.

She and the tech told me that my gum line would fill back in but there may be some permanent area missing of my gum and that it wouldn’t be too bad. Once again, wrong! It looks the same as it did when she did the extraction and there is a decent sized chuck missing of my gum.

When she did the filling and I received the paperwork showing the work they did they marked the wrong tooth on the paperwork sent to my insurance! I freaked out and had to check she actually did the filling on the right tooth and thankfully she did but the fact that they marked on the paperwork and I paid a different price for a different tooth that wasn’t even touched. Just think if she had done the filling on the tooth marked on my payment plan invoice.

When I asked what shade of tooth I would need she said “A1 uh actually A2”. I can’t say I’ve ever had a dentist say uh and correct themselves like this on something so serious as tooth coloring. Instead of spending the 15 extra seconds to really review which color was best she just said a color.

While she was doing the filling she was talking to the tech who had zero experience as she couldn’t answer any basic questions you’d expect a tech at a dentist to know plus the dentist was explaining everything to her like I was patient #1 in her lifetime. But it gets worse.

The whole time while she was doing the filling she was talking to the tech about everyday life topics like this was lunch break. For instance the dentist was telling the tech about how her neighbor was tail gating her, oh I live over here, oh the traffic this and that.

I mean the whole time the dentist was gossiping to the tech and I was seriously worried that the dentist wasn’t focused on doing her job. The dentist was acting like a high school child.

I opted out of having anymore work done here after that and thankfully that was a blessing because they wanted $6,500 more than what was actually needed to be done.

They wanted to remove five perfectly healthy teeth with a bridge and crowns to “match” the ONE tooth that needed a replacement. Yeah no thank you I’ll keep my perfectly healthy normal teeth.

I visited this dentist because of the high reviews. I am warning you: take the negative reviews on here seriously. You don’t want to end up like me with permanent gum line damage.

I haven’t decided yet about suing the dentist for malpractice. I’ve got all the paperwork saved that shows a totally different tooth receiving treatment and obviously I have permanent very visible gum line damage. I was too traumatized by the dentist to go anywhere else yet as the experience has scarred me.

This work was done in September of 2024 and I’ve waited to post a review because I am still very upset about the permanent visible gum line damage. If I smile you can see it; it’s a huge chuck missing from my gum.

They also were going to charge me an “administrative fee” of $75. Why? Who knows. I’ve never been to a dentist that charges a fee for doing dental work. You’d think when someone is about to spend $7,000 for dental work you wouldn’t add in another fee. It’s all about money here. They don’t care about you; they simply want your money.

I’ve had traumatic dental experiences in the past and am unfortunately one of those people who require a little more juice to get fully numbed. Farmington Dental not only managed to numb me completely but also prescribed an anxiety medication for the visit which helped ease the tension of getting in the chair. This is one of two dental experiences I can remember without experiencing pain and the other experience I was asleep. I’ll definitely be going back.

Today was the last straw with Farmington Dental. I had an appointment & was told that my 3 crowns needed root canals (2 months ago) but I had to get sent to an endodonist because they don’t do them- this appt was like $200. I paid $5200 cash to have the root canals done- which was insane & way more than I could afford but I paid it. The endodonist insisted that I go back to Farmington Dental to do the final fillings. I called the office to find out how much this would cost since I had already paid $5200. I was assured by the office manager it would be $198. I went in today & turns out she had only given me the price for one tooth. She tried to blame the endodonist that they only sent her a picture of one tooth. So stupid- THEY sent me over there for 3 teeth! So- oh sorry it’s actually $600 today & not $200. Needless to say I was not a happy camper. Now I am making payments because I had to get them filled. Like the previous poster mentioned they say they have “emergency” care but if you are having extreme pain with an absessed tooth (or something else) you are told you have wait a month because they are too busy. I was in so much pain I went to an urgent care- another $200. They have way more patients than they can handle & the office is really incompetent I also have a large family- we are done with this! 4 year patients are moving on- I suggest you look elsewhere.

I dont do these reviews, but the owner needs to know whats going on. I am a family of seven with dental insurance and no problem paying bills. I am their dream client, and they have lost our business.

First, the two dentists were both fine, but the front office side of this business is terrible.

Getting in to be seen is impossible. I called in on Feb 17th because I had a tooth break in half, she told me they could see me on March 17th. I thought it was a miscommunication. No, she could see me in a month with tooth that was broken in half. I asked if i could just come in at the end of the day so he could look and make sure it wasnt at risk of further breaking and she said no. I called my old Dentist, and they said they could see me the next morning at 9 AM.

No one in the front office is cross-trained. If you have a question and that person isnt there, you have to call back when they are there.

I had an appointment for one of my five kids, my kid got sick and so I called in and canceled and they tried to bill me a $100 no-show fee. And this was after the two appointments they have canceled on us in the past.

If they cant handle the amount of clients they have, either hire more staff or stop taking new patients.

Dr. Eason is an amazing dentist! She made me feel so comfortable for my filling. She has excellent attention to detail. She takes the time to explain the procedure. Very satisfied!

These folks are awesome! I hadn't been to the dentist in over 10 years, and needed a fair amount of work done. Dr. Eason and Lora are total BA's! They're easy and nice to talk to, their work is excellent and quick. And they put up with all my questions! The pricing is good, and they set me up with an easy payment plan. All of the ladies that I've met up front are Super sweet and fun to talk to, and even though I've only been in about 4 times they all seem to recognize me! Glad I found this place!

I set up an appointment for a consultation about permanent retainers, which I was assured would be possible on the phone. I went to and paid for the consultation. After that I tried making an appointment for the retainers, which is a service that is no longer available according to the orthodontics office. Unfortunately, this was a waste of time and money. It’s the definition of a scam.

Update: I called and even went in person to speak with the office manager about refunding my fee. I was told she was busy or “working on the issue.” I left my number, again, and have not been contacted or refunded. Please avoid this dishonest business.
