Highly recommend renting the water toys from Fairfield Bay Marina and spending time out on the beautiful Greers Ferry Lake. Planning and booking our lake day through their website was a breeze . I was able to reserve our time slot and select the items we wanted to rent before even getting there. Upon our arrival, the staff took care of everything, from fitting our children with life jackets, to physically helping each of us board our water toys!

The kids wanted to rent the two-seater Lake Trike and my husband and I selected the Tandem Kayak. It was our first time kayaking together in the same boat and I’m happy to report that we are still married and we managed to stay upright the entire time! We had such a great time and made core memories together as a family. Bonus: as we were leaving the marina, we accidentally took a wrong turn and stumbled upon the cutest little “photo op” area among the campgrounds.

Overall I would say this is a very nice marina. I don't have a lot of experience with him. The people working there were very friendly and helpful and welcoming. The indoor bathrooms were clean. The portable toilet pictured below was especially smelly and had some moisture seeping from underneath of it, so we wonder if the holding tank might have a leak. Plug your nose as you walk by.
We used their ferry service to hike Sugarloaf, and the driver was polite and made us feel safe. Pricing was reasonable. Watching the carpenter of the dock provided several minutes of entertainment.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The dock workers helped us load and unload our rental boat. Pet friendly. Tubes available for rent. We had a blast! Highly recommend.

We took the shuttle to Sugarloaf Mountain to hike. It's absolutely beautiful! It is not super easy though. Take lots of water and be ready for the stairs, thigh killer!

We rented a pontoon boat and we found it very clean and in good working condition. Everyone at the Marina was kind and helpful. Thank you Reese and Jobe for making our outing all that we hoped for and more.

This is where you go to climb sugarloaf mountain. The boat ride there is around 15 minutes and costs 13.95 each. It’s around a 35 min hike to the top so the two hour drop off was more than enough to go up and back. Our group had a range of hikers from 11 years to 68 years. Everyone made it to the top. There could be better trail postings so you knew where to go after reaching the top. Also, trash receptacles were full of plastic disposal bottles and needed emptied. Overall a great activity for all ages.

We were a little put off by our initial contact at the retail counter. But when we checked in for our reservation everyone was amazing. Our boat was clean, modern and most importantly FUN! The boat gentlemen were very friendly. Would give 5 stars if not for the very off putting initial contact.
