I love how honest they are about the prices they pay for precious metals. I sold 120$ worth of silver for 110$ and the place down the street offered me 60$! Love it!

Safe to sell gold/silver, as they have to be more honest. Be careful with historical coins/other metals, as they will happily rip you off to a tune of several 100s if a coin has a murkier value. Sneaky and will try to convince you a coin is totally worthless just to snag it for $20-$30, only come to find out later that it is worth hundreds. Do not buy or sell anything but silver and gold here, or you WILL be victimized. If they need to walk in the back to research a coin, it's guaranteed they found something valuable and are about to swindle you. Once they go over to that computer in the back, walk out of the store as nothing they say past that point will be honest. Their focus is on getting that coin from you! When this happened to me, she obviously found something impressive, and proceeded to brush off the coin in question like it was worthless, while focusing on the other coins to distract! I walked in to buy my coin back after this incident, only to find it marked up several hundred dollars!

Other coin dealers should follow El Cerrito Coin Exchange. I sold an American Silver Eagle for a little over spot price. Most other places were offering below spot. Thats not all...in my change was a proof quarter and another quarter that was in high MS condition. The coins are now part of my collection. It was a great experience. I will go there again and recommend others go there as well. I only support buisnesses that treat their customers right. I feel El Cerrito Coin Exchange did great!

Called around to sell some gold eagles everywhere else like Lucy gold pawn wanted to pay me $100 back from spot per coin I call El Cerrito Coin Exchange they ask me are they nice or damaged I say they still look new they offer me spot. THEY PAID ME SPOT. Lucy tried to rip me off 100's of dollars and KM gold wouldn't even give me a price just said no no no spot no I can't. Listen if you don't want to get ripped off go to EC Coin Exchange. Don't just give away your hard earned investments get paid fairly. I had to write this review and share like were talking 100's of dollars I would lost here. You won't regret giving these people your business compare yourself don't take my word on it.

The two women that worked with us on appraising our items are outstanding! Funny, friendly, personable, professional and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time with them, learned a great deal about appraisals and very much appreciated the detailed, itemized lists they created on our behalf. I called around looking for the best price on my silver coins I wanted to sell. I dont remember if this place had the BEST price for what I had to sell. I just remember being relieved to finally be treated with some respect and common courtesy while on the phone with them. That right there was reason enough to end my search. I dont remember what they paid out because it was a few yrs ago but I do remember being more than satisfied. If u need a clearer picture: I dont mind making the journey from Antioch to do business with them. Driving myself or using public transit. They're definitely worth it
