Sam Bijlani is the best!! I have known him for more than 20 years. My husband and I first met him while on a cruise that visited Sint Maarten. Just about all of my jewelry has been purchased from Effy with Sam guiding us through the process. He’s very knowledgeable regarding the science and quality of the pieces we bought. I consider him “my jeweler” and I recommend him to anyone who may be interested in getting the best value without compromising quality. After all of these years, I also consider him my friend.

My wife and I have been looking for a beautiful quality Tanzanite, we have looked around for some time prior
to our Alaska cruise we decided to look around. Since there was plenty to choose from on the ship and other stores. Effy jewelry in Skagway had some beautiful top notch jewelry and lower end stuff something for everyone. The tanzanite stone's were amazing quality to choose from. I asked Sam Bijlani the store manager about some single Tanzanite stones. Sam was surprised on my knowledge and I was impressed with Sams knowledge. We started going through the inventory and we both agreed this 11.82 AAA Cushion cut had amazing saturation color, clarity and cut, we worked out a price that was a little lower then market price but then the quality was one of the best I have come across is why I had to have it. Sam Bijlani was great to work with and helpful. And still a year later Sam answered his phone and I was able to share pictures of our stone mounted on our custom ring setting my wife and I had made for it, a vintage Art deco style. We love our beautiful Tanzanite even more a true quility piece. Thanks again Sam hope to see you again soon.

Mom and I went on a bucket list trip to Alaska on a cruise, once in a life time trip. We had coupons from the ship and she picked out a pair of earrings. Sam, the manager, was our sales representative and was very pushy for us and rude to his coworkers. Men in the store were offered beer, I asked and caught an attitude. We bought $650 ear rings, there was no prices on anything which was suspicious. We were suppose to get a $200 discount from the ship he said we couldn’t use because the earrings were “promotional” all of the sudden. Needless to say we felt scammed, not worth the price and didn’t uphold their deals, coupons or free items. If you value your money don’t go! Pretty sure these are knock off jewelry.
